A lot of excitement about the new North West cri ket league. Lots of talk about clubs putting coaches on for away games for fans. I'm certainly looking forward to visiting some new grounds. The novelty will wear off, can’t imagine there’s much thrill going to Walkden or Farnworth Social Circle for ...

My experience of Bolton League clubs in the Lancs KO is that it’s hill billy country! Always found them to be unwelcoming and full of dick heads on and off the field. Played in the league for 23 years, that’s not far off the mark, their idea of banter was more like personal abuse, our crime was bee...

Re: 2023 Cricket Season
Not sure how much mileage is in the NWCL, a lot of Bolton League clubs wouldn’t enter the GMCL as they said there was too much travelling. That was an excuse as some clubs would have found themselves well down the pyramid as standards on and off the pitch had declined. It sounds a bit like the Penni...

A couple things about the game, was sat in BLS and in the first half Kayden Jackson shouted at the linesman to give us something after he correctly gave Burnley a throw in, a few minutes later Jackson committed a foul which prompted the shout of….referee give him something! Don’t think any of the bookings were particularly harsh. He could easily have ignored the Roberts thing but played it by the book. But then no one else did it after that so maybe it was the right thing to do. Hanley did it in the second half when Barnes won a free kick after being fouled by Nunez. ...

I've never spotted that in the rules. He clearly and deliberately kicked the ball away. We would have expected an opponent to be carded for it. A few years ago yes a booking, nowadays most referees don't bother, especially when he could argue it that he thought he kept it in and passed it to a Norw...

It's rare for me to agree with Spice however yes, Barnes and Cullen were absolute class today. Both appeared to everywhere on the pitch. Re: RATE THE REF - Keith Stroud v Norwich City
Roberts booking was harsh, seen this happen plenty of times over the past few seasons with no caution. If he's going to book him for that type of offence then he has to be consistent. 2nd half when Barnes was fouled by Nunez, Hanley smashes the ball, ref does nothing. On general he was OK apart from...

Think the negativity around Muric , for some, was decided as he didn't have a good loan spell at Forest and don't see what he brings to the style of play.
