Re: Belgium VAR
Crazy that they’re doing this. Over a 23rd minute disallowed penalty over encroachment. Wouldn’t even make the top 20 bad VAR calls in our league. Hopefully it sets a precedent and we see it happening in the Prem and Champions League, then everyone accepts it’s ludicrous and killing the game and we ...

I was thinking about this the other day as the missus was saying how many people were off ill at her work. Made me realise I've not had so much as a cold since having Covid in 2020 (which was pretty mild). That's a decent run of dodging stuff.

For me, nothing beats the Roadman/Mandem accent for inducing vomit. Worst accent I've ever heard. I was watching that particularly grim episode of 24hrs in Custody on Ch4 this week and I must admit, one of the questions I’d have asked the murderer guy was why is a 33 year old man from Bedfordshire ...

Surprisingly, we did actually beat them at home in 86/87 when they won the league easily. A win which later turned out to deny them a 100 pts total and was also a fairly important 3 points for us in the end.

I hope not, it's a shame to see him where he is now. However, it's more likely he's close to bankruptcy, everyone needs to do something to pay the bills and once the League One / Two manager jobs dried up, I guess this is his chosen path.

I was kind of hoping he was just going down this route to grift some easy money off people with flags in their bios but unfortunately it appears he has genuinely fully lost it. He'll be protesting 15 minute cities with Rickie Lambert in a week or two.

The bubble hasn't burst but TV income has definitely peaked. The only option is to give more and more games away to try and keep the same money coming in. The 'unofficial' streaming services were inevitably going to hit the value of these deals eventually.

There’s a pub in our town in South Yorkshire where you can still get a pint for £1.60. A few yards away there’s a bar where it’s £6 for a lager. All depends on your clientele I guess. I like both places, the cheap pub isn’t rough, just an old man type pub where they have horse racing on all day. Rem...

I would be interested in the findings as how/why accents change The scouse accent in particular. It's so exaggerated now, compared to 30 years ago.
