Agree re layers. However the OP can do exactly what he wants with his own money and there are worse ways to spend £900 than on a premium jacket. People here are so quick to judge. Almost like they’re sat waiting for an opportunity.

Blythswood Sq hotel is v nice and has a great spa. Lots of places nearby. Howlin Wolf for late live music.

Kelvingrove park, museum. Also a place near central station where you climb loads of stairs and can see across the city. Forgotten what it's called. 2 mins from Glasgow Central by foot.

Wonderful city. Merchant City has lots of nice places, Finniston is great (pubs, ox and finch etc), west end/ ashton lane. My favourite city. Spent a year there 2016-17 with work.

The coconut stout i got in my beer52 box was one of the most disgusting things i have ever tasted. About half the beers were good, half were filler. It was just a one off order with a discount code. Agree supermarkets are great now. It's just beer after all.

My nana (1930s Otley) and my MiL (mid 1960s Liverpool) both had childhood polio which led to lifelong poor health. My MiL was one of the last people in the country to catch polio and has worn a caliper for life.

On a semi-serious note. I have always loved Manchester but its city centre has gone rapidly downhill and everyone I know and also my family, travel to Leeds these days for days/meals out... Leeds city centre is just a far nicer place than Manchester at the moment and has been like that for a good f...
