Deserved to win, Wood very good, Vydra good when he came on, Tarkowski very good, McNeil outstanding. Feel disappointed today that we didn't get three points. Moss is ferkin useless.

The Hollies used to have the uk record for the longest time span between number one records:- I'm Alive in circa 1965 and the rereleased He Ain't Heavy about 23 years later. I'm not sure if this still stands since I seem to remember seeing that Tom Jones had beaten this record.

Re: The Hollies
I first saw the Burnley side of the Hollies (Tony Hicks etc) when they were Ricky Shaw and the Dolphins, playing as second on the bill to Joe Brown and the Bruvvers: this was in a small dance hall in Barnoldswick in about 1960, I certainly can't remember the name of the place. The next time I saw th...

I was on the open, temporary stands at Blackpool that night. I remember it well because I had a very heavy cold with flu like symptoms that day and to be honest all I wanted was for the match to finish and get home to bed. It was an important three points for us though.

I remember my dad telling me that Billy Elliot, a left winger for the Clarets in the early 50s, was sent for giving a look of intent to an opposing player. No one knew at the time why the ref sent him off and it had to be explained via the newspapers in the following days.

Just seen that on MOTD. Not one mention of Nick Pope when discussing a possible replacement for Pickford. It was all about the Sheffield United keeper, who they point out is a Man U keeper anyway and will one day play for them. I hate MOTD and all its presenters and pundits.

If the club is being referred to as a single entity only then it takes the single form of the verb: if the club is referring to its total entity,ie including the personn...

I was on the game and remember Pointer's glancing header as if it were yesterday. We needed to win the game and everyone was getting a bit edgy because Spurs were playing well and we hadn't really looked like winning: then came the two goals in the second half to send us all home happy.
