Said it on the other thread. Roberts is going to play LB, Al-Dakil or O'Shea at RB. Delacroix did OK at LCB (and I have a bias for left footed LCBs, admittedly) I think eventually him and Beyer might be our best CB combination.

Interesting stat about Villa:

Only MAN CITY (62) have won more…
Let's not overreact - starting a PL campaign against teams of this calibre is not easy. Spurs next.....

I think this stinks and shows one of the big issues with VAR as it is currently implemented. Let the managers challenge a decision, then and only then, is VAR allowed to review (sort of like cricket). One challenge per half, if challenge is correct, then challenge retained, if not, challenge is lost.

Agree with Kate, it's so hard from over here. For the last few weeks, the ONLY thing I can see in the club shop on the website is the Home Kit. Nothing else, no away kit, no training gear, no tee shirts, nothing. Would love a JJ Watt hat, but....oh well.

I thought one of the reasons for inventing this thing was that T20 was taking too long and wouldn't fit in with TV schedules? Re: Jack Leach out of the Ashes
Big mistake if we play Mo. Like Leach, I love the guy, but the Aussie's will absolutely marlmalize him - again. We simply don't have a spinner good enough to beat the Aussies (or anyone else for that matter). If we play a spinner that leaves us effectively 3 seamers and a limping Stokes to try and g...

Re: Jack Leach out of the Ashes
Goto batting-wise, but the issue is can we take 20 wickets? And the problem is there does not appear to be a front-line spinner capable of holding an end never mind taking wickets. If memory serves, the Aussies beat the hell out of Mo in his last Ashes. Not sure he is the answer. Still think 4 seame...

I'm in the blessing in disguise camp. Nice guy, but not a test class spinner and the bowler the Aussies were going to target. Problem is there are so few spinner options available - may have to go with 4 seamers and get some green tops ready.

Tripps would have helped too, but Ben Mee in this team? Almost guaranteed promotion.

Agree Pickles. If most matches are being shown here on ESPN (which I also have to subscribe to to get the games) then the cost per match on Clarets+ goes up. Wish we knew which games they could actually stream beforehand. EFL rules though apparently - not a lot the club can do I suppose.
