Very unlikely. Even when the decision is obviously shite, you are not supposed to tell the ref that it is.
I think he may have told the ref to do something to himself which is both physically and morally unacceptable
Definitely not worth an appeal.

Was he 2nd choice at left back? I remember Vitinho filling in there numerous times
But didn't Taylor play CB often? Definitely not rated as Maatsen was at LB.

Well that 4 games not being in the squad alongside the full previous season not playing him at left back gave a pretty good indication, along with twice not playing him for an inferior player during this season. If we put 2+2 together the answer seems to be quite clear. A full season as 2nd choice ...

I would not argue with you, probably would have been when we got him; but now he cannot just tank around,he increasingly puts me in mind of Pieters. I feel more confident with him at full back, his downfall has always been lapses of concentration, with age that has improved (as you’d expect). Still...

He's been a decent enough performer for us.
But I don't think he completely fits VK's idea of a fullback.

Bit unsure about Assignon. Looks a good player with poor decision making. If could iron that out he’d have real potential.
Imagine Assignon vs Roberts. Different class IMO.

Probably not. But he has had a positive influence in the last two games, for which I am not alone in being delighted.

Don’t understand how you can just play because your fee is large and regardless of form. Imagine persisting with a team of Tony Hancocks, Leon Corts and Wout Weghorsts just because of the fees we paid. Muric could well have a howler today but he’s earned the right to start Not starting him after hi...

All a bit vague bill. Have you anything pertinent to disclose to give an idea of where you stand on this particular incident involving Dyche ?
No, it was a comment on the uses of the word rather than on this particular incident.

Tomorrow we are at Stamford Bridge. I will always remember, as I'm sure many other Clarets fans will, 12th August 2017 when Burnley were 0-3 ahead at half-time at Stamford Bridge and winning the game against the reigning Premier League champions 2-3. Steven Defour was magnificent in that game. UTC ...

If he doesn't play again this season then Henderson, Butland, Ramsdale will all be ahead of him.
When's Pope due to return?

Heard that the majority of the senior players want out along with loads of others who it won’t take long to work out given their lack of game time If true then it's best they get their agents working on their exit. I really don't see where some people see potential, I can't. All aspects of he's game are weak, I've tried to see positives but there are seriously none there imo, the only thing I see is that he's reflexes are quite good most of the time, but it's not always consistent. I think I got about £8 for an away game and £5 for a home game. The only season in my whole career, including the walking football I play now, that I didn't have to pay to play! I played a SWL game there for Teignmouth about the same time, lost 2-0. I'd say Truro deserved to win by a lot more :D on...

Isn’t it quite common for under 21 players to get promoted to the main squad when there’s an injury? It’ll be a good experience for him, hopefully even restore some confidence. Other than that it’s barely worth mentioning, it’s not like it’s the main story on sky sports news. But it's big news on h...

This should come as a great boost in confidence for young Trafford but before you outraged England "fans" get your knickers in a twist he won't be in the next squad, he is available in this break to sit on the bench rather than GS call another keeper in at late notice.

There was a lot wrong with the earlier offside law. Whether a player in an offside position was interfering with play was entirely down to the opinion of the referee! Just take a look at the England v Portugal semi final in 1966, for both of Charlton’s goals, Roger Hunt was stood in an offside posi...

Frankly I'm amazed that any genuine Burnley fan can't see this as a positive.
And for those who don't understand why he may be in the squad: he's not been plucked from the ether he's been in the England system for years, and that is because he is/has been very highly rated.

Common sense from an England perspective. There isn't really anyone else available and not many would be particularly thankful for a last minute call-up to be third choice for a friendly anyway. Give your under 21 goalie the experience.
Hopefully it will inspire him.

Sorry but anybody who says that doesn't understand the game at all. You would have forwards just sat there in front of goal and defenders wouldn't push up field due to forwards running in behind. There would be a lot less running. You'd have players like Kane waiting near the goal and there would b...

Not enough research goes into signing these players, take foster for example the amount of games he's missed for whatever reason(s) & that's being sympathetic to his problems but for a team fighting relegation you simply cannot afford to have your star striker missing for so long. I get your point,...
