Just back myself. That's a fair summary PB for what was basically a glorified training match. Long and Westwood definitely the stand out men in each half. Cork also showed his class in glimpses in first half. Also think Walters, Tarky and O'Neill (as an overlapping fullback) deserve a mention for th...

A lot depends on where ticketless Clarets are staying. If there are enough coming up without tickets I could probably organise a pub where we could watch the match(if its on tv). I already know a place where they would lay on free food if enough turned up. A brilliant friendly pub called Spiders We...

Be interesting to see if they sell. If it was Man U or Liverpool (even at those prices) it would probably be a sell out, or near enough, given their large fanbases over here, Chelsea and Arsenal wouldn't have as many Irish fans.

Was cracking last time. Great Claret following came over, smashing weather and Cork's always good craic for a few beers. And it introduced us to the legendary Scotty!
I'm guessing they'll be a few less clarets this time saving the pennies for the road to Baku!

Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote. Been a few times in January, mid-20s average temperature, usually sunny, occasionally slightly cloudy, rain very unlikely. Old town area is very nice, plenty of good restaurants and bars. Keep away from the new town though, tacky as hell.

So for every review, there's only a change in decision about 1 in every 16 or 17. Seems like a lot of disruption & flow of the game for little improvement. Interesting one though is reduction in diving by nearly half, a definite plus, without doubt the worst thing with football today, more so then a...

I never thought I'd see his goal away at Watford again. It reminds me that he WAS that good. He was never the same after his injury. Not even close. I think it's down to the quality of managers with the promoted teams. Benitez knows what he's doing at Newcastle, Hughton has been underrated and harshly treated at previous jobs, jury still out a wee bit with mini Klopp at Uddersfield but seems a good un. And of course we have Sir Sean

Can't really complain with Tarky's ban. What grates is the divers getting away with diving, and the apparent loophole that the likes of Kane and Alli have gotten away with their nasty challenges last week
