Re: Leeds - Liverpool canal underground bit
If you mean the one at Foulridge, it is a simple matter of the gradients of the land. The engineers had two options, dig through the hills to go under the land or build locks to allow you to go over. The problem with locks was that they created bottlenecks in the canal system and the mill owners, th...

Was a privilege to watch him. I remember the goal against Hull and thinking just how far we had come when a player of that caliber was in our team. Such a shame it was only a short period that he graced the Turf.

I’m really not one for OTT slamming of our players or even criticising them unduly. But we really have been dreadful. The number of misplaced passes is unbelievable. I know conditions aren’t great and we as usual have players missing. But there really is no excuse for this performance.

Two penalties overturned today, where the attacker has fallen over as if shot, following the slightest of contacts.
Hopefully will continue in this vein. Football is not supposed to be a non contact sport!

So in tier 2.
Pubs are open, but I am guessing that because households can only mix outdoors, pubs without beer gardens(with umbrellas and heaters!) will be empty?
I am guessing landlords it would have been better to be tier 3? At least if forced to close they could get furlough payments for staff
