Jay Rod has to play ahead of Barnes for me. With Barnes upfront we're so one dimensional and predictable. He shouldn't be anymore than a squad player now, someone to bring on late in a game to try and unsettle teams.

I disagree. Give a club enough money and they can't fail - or they shouldn't fail. The coaching and managing is secondary. I've enjoyed going to watch Colne FC tbh. No VAR, no play acting. Club run by volunteers who do it because they genuinely love it, and as a fan you feel genuinely valued rather than a number who is just there to be made money out of.

I always got the impression he had to sacrifice a bit of his game to play for us. From the bits I saw of him before he joined us he seemed really creative and chipped in with plenty of goals and assists, which we never really saw from him at Burnley.
