Re: How well known are Burnley fc?

As a regular traveller to China, I have now converted several people to follow the Clarets in the Guangdong province. It's great to see the famous Claret and Blue in several factories/offices I visit. I now know more Claret supporters then Man Utd!!!!

Will our team want to play in Europe?.................more than likely. Do I want to see the Clarets in Europe.................YES Why? - I watched them in Europe in the 1960's, and now I may have the chance of watching them again in Europe - who knows it could be the last time so let's make the mos...

Enjoyed reading your post - watched Sunderland trounce Derby the other night - you may be pleased to know I was cheering every Sunderland goal. Hope you can keep away from relegation and join us in the Premier League once again.

Re: BURNLEY, just a time to breathe it all in .

its easy to take things for granted in life, time passes so quickly. Not in an Einstein sense, just that it seems one minute we're in the midst of something, next it feels like an age ago. These recent seasons have been so remarkable in many ways, difficult to take it all in at times . Sometimes I ...

Re: Dreadful Clarets Performances : Which Stand Out?

April 4th. 1987, Attendance 1,874, Clarets 0, Cambridge 2 - Sat in the BL Stand, thought it was the end of the world for the Clarets. This match above all others stood out as seeing my beloved Clarets playing football at the lowest level to the lowest standard. Wondered after the match if I would co...

You are right Funkydrummer about the season tickets............the reserves, with a season ticket, were free, which was just like seeing the next first team coming through the ranks, exciting times, great games, and the crowds at Central League games were bet...

Re: Burnley v Newcastle United - interesting facts?

4 September 1948, my Dad takes me to BFC for my first game v Newcastle, so excited..the Longside.... We lost 3-0, cried all the way home, and told my Dad I didn't want to go again. (My Dad was in a really bad mood). Just over 10 years later, having not missed many BFC matches, I was walking off the ...
