Re: Pickford in goal for England
So why have him in the squad if he’s less than impressed with him in training? No matter which you look at it, to persevere with Pickford on the back of his form last season really takes some believing. The keepers are someone who had a poor season, a young guy with one season in the PL behind him ...

Are you Southgate in disguise? :D No, just stating my opinion on Pope and trying to give reasons why Southgate is still choosing Pickford over Pope. Too many on here rave about Pope and I'm not quite sure why. The stat isn't mine, it was in the Times this week. I have posted before that when Southg...

Re: Pickford in goal for England
There was a statistic in the Times mid week that showed how many points each Premier league keeper had saved their team last season. Henderson was either top or near the top with around 8 points. Pope was minus 3 points. Clearly from this stat, the defence is what makes Pope look good. Granted he is...

The best ball was the Frido A. 5 bob from most news paper shops . Excellent weight, flew true when struck and you could bend it like Garrincha with the outside of your foot.
Also, the pimples made it brilliant for keepers to catch without gloves.
Best all round plastic ball ever.

I've said this before, but the Napoli game was shown on the news at the time and the penalty wasn't actually saved. Harry went the right way but the ball hit the post, he didn't touch it. I agree with the comments that say it must be a performance you have personally seen. I've never seen the Matrix...

The best save by a mile is Heaton's from Austin.
I have yet to see Pope do a world class save. The 1st, 2nd and 5th at City were all saveable.
