Quite an interesting graphic of which areas of the pitch Champ clubs control so far Look at ours  Quite a bit at this link https://theanalyst.com/2022/08/english-championship-stats-2022-23/ Very similar to Man City's from February last season: https://preview.redd.it/ucjgnfgyllg81.png?width=96...

Re: Stats so far
It's a very small sample size at the moment, 3 or 4 games. The algorithm can't be expected to be that accurate or precise with such a small data set. 2 of our chances go in and we're top of the league. The point is that it's a better indicator of team strength and predictor of final finishing posit...

We're averaging almost 1.5 xG per game and an xG difference of +0.9 per game. That's really good, although it's only 4 games.
Keep doing what we're doing and the goals and wins will come.

The article suggests to me that they are selling photos of shirts based on one of these semi-fictional NFTs. Just like when you buy an actual shirt from the club shop, it's yours and no-one else can wear that particular bit of cloth although they can wear one just like it, with these virtual shirts...

Re: It's time for Max to say
How can it not from an accounting and reporting period point of view? Because the transfer fee is spread over the period of the player's contract for profit and loss purposes. So if they paid £20m and gave him a 5 year contract the charge for each year would be £4m. Edit - and I think FFP looks at ...

Can you really not see? There is more to "value of the company" than what the balance sheet says. Even if we forget the cash, before the takeover we had no loan creditors and no loan debtors. After the takeover we had a £65m loan creditor on which interest of 10% is payable every year, and a £65m l...

When a man with no money promises to pay you £112m, it doesn't make you a millionaire. ALK haven't got any money and they won't be able to pay the loan back unless they sell the club for more than they paid for it . If you genuinely think paying £112m to a company that is skint doesn't reduce the v...

It hasn't been taken out yet, it's there as an asset on the balance sheet and would presumably be repayable when ALK sell the club. So no it hasn't reduced the value.

Sorry to make a boring financial point but there is also a tax angle too, which is going up to 25% soon so I’ll use that % as an example. If (say) we sell a player for £20m we would pay tax on that profit of £5m and only end up with £15m (obviously reinvesting some of it is then an option too but l...
