Re: 9 games left, 4 wins needed
Lets be honest, we're already up. I honestly think we'd still be ok if we lost every remaining game (not a theory I'd like to test out though!!). If Boro and Luton continue at the average points per game they've had this season to date (1.73 Boro and 1.70 for Luton) then they'll end up on 80 and 78 ...

But do we really want to foster a spirit of "you're not good enough, these lot are better, we can't win so let's not try"? If we rest the better players for City, there is every chance they'll be upset about not getting the chance which might affect their league form anyway. It's a toss up between ...

I suppose that's the big question. Which is better - win the league with 100 points but lose to City, or win the league with 99 points and win the FA Cup and qualify for Europe? I say give it our best shot for the Cup. I'm still disappointed about that Watford match twenty years ago. Trust me, if I...

Strongest team possible tonight. The Championship is the focus. 100+ could well be possible. We can still break the record for most points in the Championship if we hit another streak. The City game is a distraction and not worth risking any injuries over. I genuinely wouldn't be bothered if we sent...

The rest of the league have had us and Sheff Utd up since Christmas. Boro have been playing catch up and it's much easier to do that than stay in front, especially when someone is closing in. Not saying we should sign him, just think it's interesting that he's been made available, especially given the facts that Ings / Austin are injury prone and Shane Long couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. I was surprised we let him leave on a free to be honest. Always seemed to do OK on loan. Would have made sense to give him another 2 years and send him back out on loan until someone offered us cash for him. Mind you, 100k for him is small fry vs PL money these days!!
