I'm not sure yet but having filled in the application form it appears that one of the possibilities is being on the end of the phone to talk to someone, possibly an isolated elderly person, maybe similar to Samaritans. Yes the club should do more, but not sure why the players should take a pay cut. As far as iam aware they are still training, and therefore still working, just because they earn huge sums doesn't mean they can just take a pay cut, their lifestyle will be based on their wage, I doubt they have £300 ...
