Maybe six targets out of which we'd sign one or two.claretburns wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 12:41 amI can't imagine we're after 6 players.
If the club employee told the truth I'd imagine it would be 2 or 3 targets per position and if first choice doesn't work out then move quickly to the 2nd choice.

Besides the pace, I mostly agree with you, but I’m more making the point that although we’ve had some notable success with a 9 this season I don’t think in the long term we intend to play one, so I’m more thinking that we’d play 2 x No 10’s interchanging I think Vydra was really a No 10 but coming ...

We’re 8 points ahead of Blackburn in 3rd, and 10 points plus a lot of goals ahead of the nearest promotion challenger Watford. It would take a complete catastrophe from us, and a very good run from a team like Watford for us to concede an 11 point advantage. For context, the bookies have us at 1/6 ...

47 points. 46 goals. 13 wins. Only 2 defeats in 23. Players chipping in with goals from everywhere. Football a joy to behold in the main. Able to come from behind to win games not something we've been noted for recently. And all achieved with a minimal spend plus several key players being absent du...

Indeed the average gate at Highfield Road went down by around 5,000 between 80/81 and 81/82 as Mr Hill bumped ST prices up considerably over the summer of 1981 , though gates did improve again in subsequent years . I remember them winning the second division in 1966-67. They got some huge crowds at...

Undav's two seasons for USG were a season each in the top two divisions. 35 goals in 51 league games, but I don't know how many were scored in his season in the top flight. However, Union won the title and in their first season back in the top flight for 49 years. Some achievement. He sounds promisi...

Whilst I’m not sure it would be sustainable without the football, there is a lot more to the Ricoh than the football alone. It’s a huge complex with all kinds of facilities included. I have little sympathy for Coventry, their fans were appalling in celebrating Wasps demise. I think I posted on here...
