‘Tapping up’ players
The free Nathan Tella thing got me thinking about whether it could be seen as tapping him up which is a phrase that used to be around about 10 years ago and I think (?) some clubs even got charged for doing it. Almost every player we’ve signed has spoken about how Kompany talked to them before they ...

My god if we sell Muric full stop, never mind for €8m, we need our heads examining! Turkish clubs always seem like the pawn shop of football clubs. They always end up underpaying for players (usually the ones clubs are happy to get rid of). Muric will have a rep in Turkey from his loan spell there ...

I think you have got that spot on. For what it’s worth Hudson Odoi at 8m looks like a steal. He’s still only 22 and we have seen first hand what he can do, when he tore Charlie Taylor a new one a few years back. That’s a player we could almost double in value in a season I think the only reason why...

The reward is probably the fact that (IF we got relegated) the likes of Amdouni, Trafford, Beyer (not to mention Zaroury, Benson, Al-Dakhil and others) will wipe the risk out with their transfer value. It's gutsy - and was terrifying when we last got relegated, to me - but we know the strategy work...

Disappointed not to get a fee for him (assuming the loan fee is just contributing to his wages), but it was presumably the best offer on the table.
Good luck to him, I hope he gets some regular game time!

Re: Season ticket holders buying home game tickets
You should be able to buy two with your season ticket but weren't they on sale last week to season ticket holders? I thought it was general sale today. I think it was the 10th they went on sale to STH's, but you definitely can't buy an additional 2 as it counts your season ticket seat as one ticket...

Hi, I've just tried to buy a couple of extra tickets for Palace at home for my brother and nephew. I was under the impression that season ticket holders could buy 2 additional home games per ticket. The fact the club put it out on social media makes me think he could be here to stay. We'd look pretty stupid if one week was 'Wout's back', and the next 'Wout's gone'. IF he stays, (and it's a massive IF IMO), he's going to need to bag a few early doors to get the fans on side. Let's be honest, we'...
