Maatsen has had some tremendous games but far too many poor games for me to think he can cut it in the PL. Muric has made very few WOW saves and has been beaten too often without making an attempt. If we sign Bayer I don’t see THB staying. It would not be progressive to keep him when we have three other CBs who are as good or better. THB will be too expensive to buy, better to look for a 3/4m youngster or call McNally back

He is a good player but I have little interest in signing THB. We have two possibly three better centre backs and see no reason to shell out money for a fourth. Money better spent elsewhere

It is very hard to draw conclusions about accounts that are over 12 months in the past. Another season has gone by and it is reasonable to assume the Balance Sheet has improved since then. This is because the P&L Account is likely to be better, attendances at the ground and a further years trading....

The possession based game only works when you are better, or at least as good as, the opposition

Hence our thumping at the Etihad

I think VK knows this and will adapt to the opposition. It was good to see in second half at Deadwood that our backs to the wall defending still works

What I would say is that he was outsmarted by the guy who played up against him. This guy crouch down until the corner was about to come across so that BPF and he could not push and shove. I had one about 6 months ago, all clear. A referral direct from NHS. My step father had such an aneurism in the 1980s when on holiday with my mother in Italy. He literally died on the spot while walking down the street. I had to get a plane straight out to bring my Mum home Anyone invited for a scan...
