Knew a lad from Ormskirk (no, not Tony Morley) back in the day who had studied in Grimsby. Whilst a peaceful sort of lad I think he could handle himself if need be. But he told me there were a number of public houses near the docks in which "you just didn't think about going". :o

And I think the club will want us to finish as high as possible.

Was up in Burnley the day we signed him again. We also got Graham Branch at the same time. Saw their first game against Walsall. Whilst we paid too much for SD it was very much a statement of intent by Mr Kilby.

I've looked on YT but can't find any film of it but I recall one match in particular at Molineux where he was booming missiles in from ridiculous distances. I don't think he scored that day - but stand to be corrected - but the keeper (Parkes?) was out of it.
