Fingers crossed, but it seems it was also suggested that Newcastle were not messing about and they were quickly prepared to move onto other targets if progress wasn't made quickly.

It gave us a chance we didn't look like we had when Dyche was in charge. If things had continued, as it was going, we would have been relegated long before the last day of the season.

Listened to quite a few of these now, some excellent ones. Usually skip the first 6-8 mins of the 3 of them waffling.

Some brilliant stories of Ternent, Wesley, Warnock and Pardew throughout. Some of the stuff the players got up to, funny, but never get away with any if it these days!

Comes across very well and there seems to be a huge emphasis on keeping the fans happy and playing attacking football.

Lots of positions to be filled, including those likely to leave us like Weghorst, Pope and Cornet.

Similar to a poster above I thought Gomez Mancini looked a good prospect, especially in the Pre season games last year when he featured.

Going to have to get a wriggle on!

He seemed an upgrade on Wood for me. Just for his off the ball work and pressing. If Wood wasn't scoring it always seemed like he was hardly in the game at all where as Wout did still have an effect on the game in other areas. The mai problem was we needed goals from him and he didn't produce.

Really looking forward to it. Might not work out, but you can see plenty of positives as to why such an appointment would be great for the club as a whole. A new chapter and exciting times, as they say! Hope it is as good as done, as all the rumours are suggesting.

I have heard numerous players mention when he was their manager, on various podcasts, and they all came to the same conclusion that he was weak and had poor man management, often got bullied by the players. Surprising when you think of the type of player he was.

To be honest we were giving him plenty from the JML trying to put him off and cheering on Pope. I wasn't to bothered by his celebration given how much we were giving him to miss. Part and parcel to be fair. Just wish he had missed it though.
