Re: Lancashire v Essex

Just noticed that Critchley who didn’t bowl in first innings got 2 wickets so far inc Vilas for 0. How many points do we get for a draw compared to a loss ? If we lose we'll get three points, if we draw we"ll get eight ( three bowling points and five for the draw ). I've ruled out the possibility o...

I wss going to come down for the first day of this game at Blackpool.

Glad I didn't....they've only managed 4.1 overs.

They should have played it in my corner of the Lake District, it's only just started drizzling now.

Lancs are going to struggle to avoid a first defeat of the seaon tomorrow.
Currently about 30 runs ahead with six second innings wickets remaining.
This is what happens when the opposition put on 130 for the tenth wicket.

Up to the time he joined us, he was averaging a goal in every three games, perfectly respectable.
Since then, he has scored twice in 37 PL appearances ( although many of those will have been s substitute).
The fact is, he is very unlikely to score the goals we need next season.

I see that Betfair are offering 80-1 for City to be relegated, as against 500-1 for United and Arsenal.
They must be factoring in the possibility of them being relegated automatically as punishment for financial irregularities. Even a 50 point deduction probably wouldn't relegate them.

Good question!
Perhaps there should be an extra category, above Premium members, of STHs with fewer than 4000 points.question
It's all getting a bit complicated!

The main thing is that is doesn't seem right to be able to "buy" twenty years loyalty for £250.
