Re: Vincent Kompany interview part 2
It wasn't there when it was first published. I've refreshed and can now see it, cheers! Fair play, it's actually quite a long interview as well -- far shorter than the teaser of part one! That should say far longer* than the teaser of part one. Having a bit of a nightmare. Shame edit feature is onl...

Yeah its all words at the moment yadda yadda but I'm really pleased we've got him. It wasn't there when it was first published. I've refreshed and can now see it, cheers! F...

Vincent Kompany interview part 2
I see the club has posted part 2 of the interview with the new gaffer. Does anybody else find it weird how they've done this? For starters, the second part doesn't seem to include a video. I'm sure there's a marketing strategy behind it but I'm not too keen on the drip feeding of content. Anyway, he...

Re: ARTICLE: Michael Duff is the new Barnsley manager
Duff was my first choice for our recent managerial vacancy. You can certainly see the high esteem in which he's held at Cheltenham with those comments from their chairman. I think he'll do a great job at Barnsley and wish him all the best. Perhaps he'll still be Burnley manager one day although for ...

Re: Wout Weghorst
I believe he tried his best for Burnley while he was with us. For whatever reason, it didn't work out. It's true he should have done better with a few chances although it's also true he played in a poor side without the best of service. A poor season in all. Shame but it is what it is. I'd prefer he...

For me it has got to be the shootout following the bank robbery in Heat. Very well executed and the sound is terrifying. One of the few films I’ve seen where the gunshots sound real (best heard on good speakers).

Re: Any bird experts on here?
When I was a kid back in the 60's my dad cut a hole in the barn door to allow access for the Swallows. Because he had put a new door on over the winter ... Mum was wondering why they had all congregated on the washing line looking confused ... within an hour of cutting the corner off the door they ...

Re: Any bird experts on here?
To reduce bird droppings from nests under the eaves, drill 2 or 3 holes in the bottom of a margarine size tub. Assuming you can get a ladder and are ok with heights, drill a hole in the brick joint put in a screw plug, a foot below the nest then screw/washer the box into it. That will stop most of ...

Re: Any bird experts on here?
Its sad. I've actually seen it happen. Swallows are amazing little beasts though - along with a good few others - that make that long migration every year. Yes, and they're quite fun to watch flitting about in the evenings. Having said that, we're not keen on having more nests. One is enough for us...

Re: Any bird experts on here?
Odd Only a guess but if there are adults flying in and out, possibly they are stealing the nest from another pair, maybe they chucked them out. Birds can be ruthless. Ah, what a shame that is. Poor little things (and feel sorry for the parents too!). You're quite right, that is ruthless. Thanks for...

Any bird experts on here?
We have a swallows nest under the eaves of our house. It has been there for two of three years and, bird poo aside, doesn't bother us too much as we like birds. Yesterday evening, I noticed a small, dead baby bird on the window ledge that's underneath the nest. However, today I've found three more, ...

I hope he stays. He wasn't exactly put in a situation to be successful. We've struggled for goals for a while and that is largely down to our midfield. Yes, Weghorst should have done better with some of his chances but he was playing in a poor side while still getting used to the PL. Not exactly ide...

Fine! Not that bothered about the Premier League beyond the financial incentives it provides. Looking forward to seeing some new players in claret and blue and hopefully a different style of football (one that actually sees us score goals).

Re: Can’t wait to see the plan
Obviously we can expect to see some players depart. While there's an awful lot of rebuilding to do, I can't help but think that's advantageous for a new manager coming in. Surely, a blank canvas and the chance for to put their stamp on things is an attractive proposition for an incoming manager. The...
