The 'Gaskell' at Manchester United was a goalkeeper called David.

Is it Brian O'Neil?
Think Brian is on second row down, 5 players in stood next to Freddie Smith. Recall Len Kinsella having a very good game close to the end of the season at home to Stoke. Won 4-0. Mid 60's. Scored two goals,I think. Didn't get much of a look-in if I remember rightly.

I said exactly the same thing during House of Games. I was at Burnden Park when McDonagh scored( about this time of the year in 1983) and I was also at The Charity Shield at Old Trafford in 1967 when Pat Jennings put Spurs 2-0 up with a kick out of his hands. Absolutely. Just out of interest I think Liverpool went on to play Man City and must have lost because I'm sure that Sunderland, the eventual winners of the trophy, knocked City out in a replay in a later round.
