Mainly on about social matters rather than the footie side of things, just a few comments about our plight.
Seems to be quite determined to turn things round though.

Yes a bit of a non-interview, Ben is the sensible, go-to player for comments but on this occasion had little to say.

I'd rather he concentrated on his football rather than his next career in the media. Seems to be appearing more and more on TV, radio etc recently when we desperately need our captain to lead us out of this mess we're in..

What does 'concentrating on football' look like? Does every footballer spend every waking moment outside of playing and training concentrating on football, like Neo concentrated on that spoon in The Matrix? If a footballer hugs his partner and cooks dinner is he doing that at the expense of his concentration on football? Should Burnley players and coaches and the manager boycott all media engagements because in those moments they aren't exactly concentrating on football, only talking about it? Should footballers be banned from cleaning the house, sorting the gas bill, going to the cinema, having a w@nk, doing charity work, getting a haircut, all because they are not in those exact moments giving their complete focus and concentration to football?
No?
How is media work any more detrimental to a footballer's focus than signing an autograph?

Maybe it’s just me because I’ve stopped drinking but I’m finding some of the thought processes on here recently, mind blowingSpiral wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 1:41 amWhat does 'concentrating on football' look like? Some folk are looking for any fault they can in anything the players do or say, I’m just being careful as you never know what’s bait
