Hope we see JBG again before the end of the season, but suspect it'll be a close one.

A good signing despite his injuries. Perhaps playing him against the non league cloggers Lincoln ,wasn't the best idea Sean had this year.

The foul on him didnt get anaywhere near the level of criticism it should have partly because of the result and partly because of bartons antics.
Blatant attempt to take out our only creative player.

A thuggish 'tackle' that has deprived us of quality.

Re: Gudmundsson is back in light training
He was looking good then got injured and came back against Lincoln. If we'd have been drawn against someone else he would probably have featured a lot more.
Took a short while to settle but from what I've seen of him he's impressed.

Its just fortunate that the injury was not a lot worse from that thug, and you wonder why premier league teams don't play their strongest teams in the cup.
Also I bet Spurs are regretting playing Kane against Millwall now the way they took him out.

Re: Gudmundsson is back in light training
I personally have been disappointed with JBG. He is obviously injury prone and when he has played his performances have been average.
I certainly don't think he is up to the Premier league with his lack of pace, he looks average Championship at best.

Re: Gudmundsson is back in light training
The Lincoln thugs deliberately took him out of the game.

Kane's injury was a complete freak accident though.northeastclaret wrote:Its just fortunate that the injury was not a lot worse from that thug, and you wonder why premier league teams don't play their strongest teams in the cup.

Yes he was done by the Lincoln thug. Good luck for a 'soon' return.
Re: Gudmundsson is back in light training
To my mind, he was beginning to get used to the PL and The Burnley Way when his various injuries started. I believe in him and think he can improve at this level.

I just don't get that?
Are we watching the same player?
He has had a little bad luck with injuries.
He was becoming stronger when he had game time, in Dyche we trust.
Give the lad some slack.

Re: Gudmundsson is back in light training
As far as I recall he was pretty much always available for Charlton and never sidelined with a serious injury.
He picked up the kind of strain that can happen to anyone early on when he was here and the injury v Lincoln was as a result of a very poor challenge - arguably a game changer.
Think we're going to have to wait until next season to see the best of him but there have been glimpses of real promise.

Re: Gudmundsson is back in light training
I have to seriously disagree with that observation! He has had a stop start season due to unfortunate injuries, but when he has played the vast majority agree he's looked like a real find at a bargain price. The only criticism I will make is that when I've seen him play away from home he's been pretty ineffectual, but that so were the whole team tbh.Top Claret wrote:I personally have been disappointed with JBG.
