Watford - Aaron Lennon
Talk of a loan move or even transfer....is he the type of pacy winger we should be in for or would wages be an issue?

I think a lot of things sadly would be an issued with Aaron Lennon. Good to see him back in the game though. He needs to be playing football.

One the best solo performances I've seen an opposition player have when he played against us for Leeds at Turf.

Has the potential to be very dangerous, however has suffered with inconsistency, and unfortunately now he is a risk due to his health. It is to be hoped he is back to full fitness again and that'll be the last of it, however I wouldn't want to take the risk just now

don't see that a loan would be problem (if financially viable) -
paticularly with an option to buy if his stay is successful!

We've seen what happens when a player isn't in the right frame of mind long term, Treacy was the one we had and ultimately despite the efforts of the club, it didn't work out for either party.

I'd take him on loan in a heartbeat. Exactly what we need: someone who can pick up the ball and run at the full back. Obviously he's had mental health issues but I'm sure the lads would make him feel welcome.

It's a shame to see so many posters writing the lad off due to his previous health issues. If he's well and keen to play regular football again, I don't see why we shouldn't be interested.

Always think of that when I think of Lennon. He was only about 16 or 17 and he was outstanding.HelloHiGoodbye wrote:One the best solo performances I've seen an opposition player have when he played against us for Leeds at Turf.
Would take him on loan in a breath. In spite of his recent issues hes always seemed a decent character.

Don't think sd likes out and out wingers, who can put a decent ball in the box?
Re: Watford - Aaron Lennon
I wouldn't say he puts in a decent ball, Thats why hes never fully been top drawer, has pace, trickery and ability but final ball has always been hit and miss in my opinion.holdyourfire wrote:Don't think sd likes out and out wingers, who can put a decent ball in the box?
That said i would have him here tomorrow if possible as he offers something we dont have much of.
