Everton

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Sat Jan 12, 2019 6:13 pm

Was that game on boxing day our 'Hull - Joey Barton' game? Results for us have been phenomenal since and for them not so. And to put it in perspective had we beat them that day and had the run we have we would now be level on points with them.

The fighting spirit is there for everyone to see. Westwood and even Hendrick demonstrated it today.

With Heaton back and you have to say Bardsley we look well up for this fight.

That Hull performance was abysmal. Yet after that out of nowhere we went on that 23 game unbeaten run.

In a bizarre way the Everton debacle may have been a serious wake-up call to everyone at the club,it finally forced Sean to make a big call and change the keeper, which has led to the back 4 becoming more confident and organised,Bardsley has also injected a passion we previously lacked, and of course McNeil has been a revelation,a long way to go yet,but a major step towards survival with the last 3 results.

After the Hull farce Mee was moved into the centre of defence, and we never looked back, sometimes it takes a drubbing to focus minds and cause changes.

And it's a shame we can't play Everton soon based on the current form of both sides.

I’ve heard from a source that Toure wasn’t going to sign for us before the Everton game as he was worried about game time.
After he witnessed it from his secret position he signed immediately.
He’s just getting to to Dyche Fitness at the moment.

Marco Silva appears to be a massive fraud.

Silva’s a strange one at Hull, Watford and Everton he’s gone in given them a massive boost and it has quickly turned to dog poo. This is probably his last job in England.
