Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
As title.Any manager who spends £10 million on Hendrick and then puts league1 Arfield and yes but he's a runner Boyd in the same team really must come out and explain his decisions.Way to negative this and last season. Let's get back to the championship where we have a chance of winning every week.Maybe let's look for a manager who can also take us forward.Sorty Sean but you are out of your depth in the Premier League.Cue the abuse

Right, that's a lot to argue with. However, I can't be bothered with all that, so I'll start us off with: when did Arfield, third highest scorer in our Championship winning season and hero of our impressive win over established top tier side Everton, become League One standard?

I put it down to the playing staff.. we don't have enough quality in depth nor the scouting networks to find such players.
We are very naive in the transfer market and put every egg in one basket, we haven't our learnt our lessons from previous windows.

SD is formulaic but he has struck on a successful formula which unfortunately doesn't work in the Premier league where you have to be more elastic and proactive in your thinking and playing style.
Adapt or fail, that I'm afraid is the message he must face.

Why was no one saying Dyche was out of his depth after our recent return of 7 points from 3 games? Or are you just fickle?

No need to abuse you, we can just pick apart your opinion instead.
The Hendrick fee is the going rate for UK based players, but clearly you haven't been paying attention.
League 1 Arfield? ...or just having an iffy patch?
Name your replacement for Dyche then, cant just state he has to go...

I haven't slagged you off, so stop stamping your feet hoping I do.
Luck doesn't get you a half season unbeaten run to the title and promotion.
I don't recall you being on here stamping your feet prior to the WBA game, did you forget to sign up before then?

Re: Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
Where were your opinions prior to this little rut we've gotten into?
Or did you want to wait until we'd hit a rough patch first?
At present we aren't doing too bad, but work is needed on the squad and set up.
There's nothing factual about your last statement.
Still waiting for you to name Dyche's replacement.
Any chance you could do that?

Re: Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
It's investment in players that is needed (by Dyche, not another manager). I do think mistakes have been made in our transfer dealings - our use of the loan market, jury still out on Hendrick for me, lack of depth in midfield and limited paceless options out wide.
We are though limited in what we can do but must learn and improve both on and off the pitch and that includes Dyche - who it must be said though; deserves our full support for everything that he has delivered for Burnley.
Too many short memories.

Even though we've been so poor away, we're doing alright. As long as there are three worse teams than us (and there are almost definitely two), we'll stay up.

Re: Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
Dyche is still learning his trade; he will get it wrong, but he will also get it right which he has done both of in this season. We have to allow him to work, the board need to back him and the players need to put there shift in. There is nobody out there that could continue to put this team together without dipping into a very small budget, but with very large spend.
I am happy enough at the moment, things will change as and when the Manager is allowed to bring in fresh targets, we are 14th in the Premier League, and we earned that with some awesome performances last season
We will lose again and again this season, but we'll also win some too and we'll be reyt come the end of the season.
Don't panic.

Re: Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
It's not Sean, 'some' of the players are out of their depth.
We have improved, but at the moment just not enough.
The biggest problem, which we have had since Tripps left, is someone to deliver quality balls into the box. Anyone, including you or me, could put a ball into the penalty area, but unless it's delivered with pace, accuracy or some bend on it, it is meat and drink to even the weakest premier league defender.
You have to applaud the effort, but hard work alone isn't going to deliver us any points on the road.
I still believe that without the ability to score, we need to concentrate on keeping clean sheets, and for me that means playing Tarks infront of the back 4, especially away from home.

I think there's a reason why no one is ever after any of Dyche's players (except the very best- Keane and Ings). It's because it's generally accepted that we have a group of extremely average players that the manager gets the absolute utmost out of.

Don't agree with anything that suggests getting rid of dyche but I totally agree that hendrick has been a total waste of money and that arfield is way off being a premier league player, he doesn't have the odd off patch he has the odd good game.

Stoke net spend in last 5 season £ 60 million , ours £24 million. They have had many years to bed in their squad. We have had 12 games to bed in the players that make up half of our spend in the last 5 years. ( 20 million of 45 million). Wake up lads.

Re: Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
Why anyone wants Dyche out is completely beyond me. You don't like his style of football then fair enough but I remember Trampburn fans saying the same thing about Allerdyce and look at them now.
Our style of football is the only way we can play as we do not have the financial muscle of every other team in this division, and therefore cannot spunk 50 grand a week plus wages and massive transfer fees for the likes of Shakiri and Aunatovic that Stoke have done.
One critism I do have of Dyche though is in the transfer market, we all knew that pace out wide was a key area for improvement in the summer and we didn't address it. Playing Arfield and Boyd in those areas will see us relegated in my opinion.

Personally, SD can pick, and run, the team standing on his head in the crapper, and then he would still do a better job than any armchair wannabe. If you have a track record of deciding Premier League teams, I will listen to you. If not, wind your neck in and f*ck off.

Dyche is a quite exceptional manager at Championship level - he knows the league inside out, knows exactly what it takes to be successful and has the skills to make it happen.
PL is totally different, and I think he's struggling now. He's not such a young manager anymore and he, just like the players, needs to show more improvement.

Your aim is to stay up and if you achieve that he has done his job. Even if you go down he should not shoulder the blame. Look to the Board instead to shoulder most of the blame not your manager. I, like most other Derby supporters do not like Dyche, but he has done a good job for Burnley.
We have Candy Crush. He has his faults and pokes his nose into team matters a bit too often but at least he puts the money up for new players. He has been a lifelong Ram so that may make a difference. He has been quiet and happy since McClaren returned.

You say look to the board, but in comparison to every other club in the division, we are paupers. We don't have the finances and are forced to look at potentially being relegated and therefore cutting our cloth accordingly in regards to signing players and paying extortionate amounts in wages.Steve Bloomer wrote:Your aim is to stay up and if you achieve that he has done his job. Spending 20 million on a player and signing him on a five year deal for 50k a week could cripple the club, and until we get some Burnley fan with hundreds of millions we are forced into being more pragmatic with our money than anyone else in the top flight.

He rubs Derby fans up the wrong way with his comments. It is his way of getting a dig at Derby. Nothing to do with Burnley in my opinion but to do with his roots being in Snottingham.
Kenny Burns does the same, even though he played for Derby too. He is Forest through and through and is despised by Derby supporters.

Re: Mr Dyche sorry but you are out of your depth
Dyche is far and away the best manager we have had, we reached 9th recently, 4 is the most we have conceded. Other teams have had the misfortune to have 5 or 6.
We beat both Liverpool teams and have put in some heroic battling performances elsewhere.
Yes, the team is struggling away, but who thought otherwise?
We don'tknow yet whether the likes of Hendrick will gel, he isn't a dud that's for sure.
Defour has been excellent too. Sean Dyche has quite limited options to choose from. Nobody can doubt the quality our opponents have, not to mention the colossal gap in spending power.
We'll beat Bournemouth and pick up another 3 home points.
I cannot think of another top flight manager who could somehow conjure up more success with our comparitively meagre resources.
I think we will stay up too for what it's worth. UTC.

Signing a player for twenty million and 50k a week would not cripple the club.
If you take 75% wages to turnover with a 30 million transfer fee deficit then the AVERAGE players wage for a 25 man squad is 60k a week

Just what score do you think we should have beaten Stoke today
After all theyve only been in the premier league for about 10 years and they have no good players lol
You're talking rubbish we were good enough to deserve a point against one of the best and richest teams in the world last week

There's so much wrong with the opening posts basic use of the English language that it really shouldn't have caught so many of you with his bait. The first sentence alone should've caused you to move along in search of reasoned arguement.
It would be useful perhaps have a sticky for the opening content of posts. Something along the lines or the DUI tests used in The United States. For example:
A) Are you imtoxicated?
B) Are you Or have you been smoking/inserting/other drugs in the past 24 minutes?
