Time for a new manager
No question mark, just the blunt statement, that means for me that the club needs a new direction a new person in charge, someone who is prepared to take risks and involve those players who could make a difference.
For me SD has become stale and after a brief excursion into tasting the difference has become once again enmeshed in the framework and the players who make that possible, whilst sidelining players of much higher quality who have the potential to pose problems to the opposition but sadly pose an even bigger one to SD.
SD has been a great manager for the club and has much more to offer but his demeanour and manner suggest his passion has gone and with it the drive needed to take this club forward.
I fancy the Board probably don't take the view I do but for me it's time for a change, something SD appears resolutely against doing.
Sometimes it takes an act of great bravery to bring success now I believe is the time for the club to look elsewhere to find a leader more in keeping with the tradition of this club as a ball playing, skill centred side.

About 9 days ago you were praising Dyche for being brave. Surely you're not so fickle?

Re: Time for a new manager
I agree, I want a manager to transform the hoofball to football. A risk taker, prepared to go at teams to try and win games. A foreign manager with the knowledge of the foreign market that we lack badly. Someone to get the best out of our better players like Defour, Hendrick etc. The attack is simply toothless, lack ideas, no fluidity and no real plan on how to win a game especially away from home. It's like we set up to lose 1-0 and not 5-0, like we're a league two side in the big lights. Jorge Jesus would give these players a kick up the arse and Defour would be where he needs to be, the main man, controlling the game not sat on the bench.

Re: Time for a new manager
Sadly I see the retreat, two games when he should have been experimenting saw the return to the same old. The failure to play our best and most exciting players, the return of 4-4-2 and the excuses that tend to ride with a deflated manager.
Managers have their day it's important to recognise when their mission is over.

What exactly is it that impresses you about Jorge Jesus and makes you think that he's the ideal man for the job? Other than his fabulous name.KRBFC wrote:Jorge Jesus would give these players a kick up the arse and Defour would be where he needs to be, the main man, controlling the game not sat on the bench.

He needs new players, we don't need a new manager

Re: Time for a new manager
While a nonsense thread title, this piece has merit. 352 could have easily have been tested and we would have been better off for the experiment as the outcome might have been different to expectation. With the two home games "must-wins" he's lost the opportunity, and in January we head into a series of away gamesablueclaret wrote:Sadly I see the retreat, two games when he should have been experimenting saw the return to the same old. Re: Time for a new manager
Cant agree with that at all ABC, I think the direction this club is going is perfectly ok.
However, I do think new blood is needed alongside of him (not instead of others) but to concentrate more on our offence play, a dedicated Striking coach. I believe he/they are struggling a tad with that, so it might be an idea going forward. There is not a lot wrong with what we have, apart from not quite having any quality on the bench...but we are doing ok.

Re: Time for a new manager
I agree, Aidy Boothroyd gained promotion with Watford. The last time I saw him in football he got sacked by then League Two, Northampton. Some managers are out of their depth in the PL. Neil Warnock another example. The constantly blame of the referees is the pressure on him, he feels it, trying to cover the cracks in the performances. I see right through the excuses. I had a bet with someone on here (cant remember who) that we wouldn't get more than 5 points away from home all season and if we did I wouldn't post again. I made this bet after the first away game (I think). Dyche is just predictable, his tactics are predictable, his football is predictable.ablueclaret wrote:Sadly I see the retreat, two games when he should have been experimenting saw the return to the same old. I thought you liked predictable?
Re: Time for a new manager
David Edgar as player-manager - and our new midfield lynchpin.
I doubt the club would be considering moving Dyche on if we were adrift in last place so they definitely won't be since we're above the bottom three.
And Dyche is continuing to improve as a manager - we've seen that this season.

Look how well Hull are doing after changing their manager in the summer.

What do the three teams occupying the relegation places have in common?

The problems at Hull are obvious to anyone who takes any kind of interest in football. Interestingly they played West Ham away this weekend, they also lost 1-0 to a penalty but the level of performance from the highlights I saw were far superior to our performance against West Ham. They hit the post 3 times and look capable of scoring a goal away from home unlike us.Tall Paul wrote:Look how well Hull are doing after changing their manager in the summer.

We scored a goal away from home yesterday and missed the best chance of the game as well.KRBFC wrote:The problems at Hull are obvious to anyone who takes any kind of interest in football. As I keep saying, why does it matter whether we get points at home or away, as long as we get enough, which we are on course to do?

1 goal away from home all season from open play, the other a penalty given too us because the referee felt sorry for us. Says it all reallyTall Paul wrote:We scored a goal away from home yesterday and missed the best chance of the game as well.

Re: Time for a new manager
Oh and I want to see Defour playing not sat on the bench. A manager who can't get the best out of Defour is simply not up to scratch.

You daft twit!
If it was isolated girlyness I could excuse it but it is constant negative "I am just saying it as it is!" in a whiny voice. Which translates into "I am a needy tart."
You and that other bloke KBRFC are just like a pair of pouting miserable slags at a bar that everybody listens just once then just accepts as irritating white noise.
Please just stop saying it as it really is because your knickers are full of gaping holes.

I have a feeling that abc and krbfc are the same just that abc uses krbfc as the more extreme.
On the subject of our manager I believe he says it as it is ... unlike some who say sabbatical and end up posting more (drivel) in the following period than he did before he said it.

If you were correct then don't you think that SD would walk of his own accord.(amicably of course) personally I don't think that's the case for a moment.
