In fact, this is a much better video. 3rd Round goals from that year, and the Sheff-Burnley game is the entire first minute.

24 years ago today, madness.
Absolutely agree. Best vocal support ever for an away game. I can recall the support was getting more and more raucous just before the teams came out and jumping up and down (probably to keep warm) and this caused a surge at the front of the standing area. A number of children were taken out of the area by police and stewards and led to safety. Don't forget this was post Hillsborough. As for the match. We were coasting in very adverse conditions. In fairness I don't think the match should have gone ahead as it was very icy and getting more tricky the longer the match went on. Brian Deane certainly made the difference when he came on to rescue a draw for the Blades. Revenge was sweet at Wembley in 2009.

I was one of them in the home stand. Hell of an atmosphere and a fantastic cup tie. It was damned foggy coming back over the Pennines.
I bumped into Big Deano a few years later at Heathrow and reminded him of the replay and his part. He was superb that night and we couldn't mark him

I was in the main stand, fantastic atmosphere which I would describe as mental & got very tasty at half time on the concourse, Sheffield U bit off a bit more than they can chew. There was also a few guys in kilts & had a set of bag pipes who were hammered & i’m Sure were from a mental home....

Was in the main stand - the additional tickets - always thought it was odd they gave us the end nearest the Sheffield United end - was a mental atmosphere there and I remember the nutter with the bagpipes near us and his mates - best day out ever as a claret that ignoring results

Remember it well. Was only young but remember the freezing cold. The pitch black and foggy road home with ice everywhere.

Baloons confetti and kids being moved.

Remember being amazed at going 2 up against a premier league side. Wasnt this the year they got to the semis of this and the league cup losing both to wednesday?

Remember beresford wearing trousers (???) and inchy ripping them apart but being sent off (???)

Was gutted when we lost the two goals and subsequent replay. Remember being videod by sky sportd in the replay. Didnt sheff wear white at the turf?

Sure there was a similar crush at the turf and someone died indirectly as a result? Sure fans were spitting on him too?

I was in the cfs that day and there was some argy bargy.

Was on bottom tier at brammall lane.

Great support that day. I was in the CF stand for the replay and had to watch paramedics trying to save the life of the Blades fan on the side of the pitch. Sadly he didn't make it. Up there with the worst things i have witnessed at a football match.

The Littlejohn/Heath sending was remarkable in that had that incident taken place today, Pemberton would have been off for the wild challenge near the corner flag and then another player would also have seen red as they appeared to stamp on Heath after Littlejohn`s assault.

I was there and Heath`s first goal (I think) was a thing of beauty. A red hot atmosphere to boot.

Remember this well. Was a tense couple of games. But always sticks in my head the fellow being carried out in front of cricket field. Terrible to see. Sure there was trouble in the ground?

They were a good side then. And ended up getting to the semis after beating us. And we were so close at their place to winning. Good times to be a claret. When the resurgence had started.

I was there that day. This is how rennet it. I was singing at the back of the long side near the separation, when that asshat ran and jumped on the fences I ended up against a barrier away down. It was a surge of anger from the long side. It also kicked off after the game. I still hear stand your ground Burnley and remember that concrete passage at back of the stand.
