He'll be off quicker than you can say "Can you spare a fag, please pal?"
Re: Henri Lansbury
Yeah, we all saw how quickly Defour followed his best friend to Russia a few years ago.

We were technically, but we had not yet played a game that season, and so I think that period of time falls better in the Championship category.ClaretTony wrote:When we were first in for him was summer 2014 - we were in the Premier League.

Re: Henri Lansbury
Have you any idea where Alex Witsel was playing before his move Cleveleys?
You are aware that it wasn't anywhere near where Defour currently or even previously lived or played?

It's Axel Witsel.

If you're going to make a cocky statement then at least get his name correct otherwise you make yourself look like a d*ck

Re: Henri Lansbury
Where or who has this claim of Defour smoking 40 a day come from? I highly doubt we'd have signed him if he smoked 40 a day and I doubt he'd have had as established career as he has if he did so. Plus there's no chance of him moving to China his agent said 'why not' I'm pretty sure Arfield or any of the current squads agents would say the same. Plus he has just achieved his dream move of playing in the PL and turned down bags of money in UAE or wherever in order o sign for us

I saw him in Barnaby Fudge getting a 4oz pack of Golden Virginia. Are 40 roll-ups considered to be "40 a day"?

Re: Henri Lansbury
Wow
KRBFC has just redefined irony on CM. What a day to be alive
Second, the point still stands - what was the actual point of Cleveleys posting that?
Player moves to China, after playing in Russia, but that unsettles Defour, who plays in England after playing in Belgium cos he's his mate?
Makes sense when you look at it like that..........

Re: Henri Lansbury
There is a fine line between irony and experience Lancaster..
When the idiot troll decides to tell someone they look a bit of a dick is it irony or just going by his constant experiences of his 16yr lifespan where he is a non stop dick.

Re: Henri Lansbury
Lansbury has until mid day Friday to sign for us at which point if he is not a Claret as far as I am concerned he can feck off for good, this is my last week of thinking he would be a good addition to our squad

Most footballers come from working class backgrounds and traditionally most of them smoked. Times are changing but it never seemed to slow down the ones that did.

Re: Henri Lansbury
We were actually playing in the Premier League during August 2014 and then again in January 2015. We did then make another attempt to sign him in August 2015.Wexford_Claret wrote:We were technically, but we had not yet played a game that season, and so I think that period of time falls better in the Championship category.

Re: Henri Lansbury
Keen on a move to Celtic. I think that we can now definitely put this one to bed.
Re: Henri Lansbury
Why ? £3m (or more) is a lot for Celtic when they could still win the league with Angela Lansbury playing centre mid !!dermotdermot wrote:Keen on a move to Celtic. I think that we can now definitely put this one to bed.
When was the last time Celtic forked out this much for a player ?
Personally I do not think Dyche will reignite this interest - firstly I doubt we will want to deal with Forest and secondly we have moved on. Our priority is in other positions now and we have a number of players who are at least as good as or better than Lansbury.
That said if Dyche is still interested that's fine by me !

Couldn't Celtic do as they did with Dembele as they are in a different country? Sign him on a pre contract agreement for free to join them in July?

Re: Henri Lansbury
Apparently can't be offered a new deal or sold at the moment, according to Alan Nixon.
Says it is something to do with the current "farce" at Forest.
Weird situation.

I don't understand it though. What is it that is stopping either a transfer or a new deal? Something in his contract? Something in the football rules? I just can't grasp the concept.

Re: Henri Lansbury
No idea, just what Nixon said, but nothing surprises me at Forest with the owner. Lansbury was sat in the office at the Turf in August 2015 waiting to sign when that idiot suddenly pulled the plug.ClaretAndJew wrote:I don't understand it though. Re: Henri Lansbury
For all their amazing history, tradition and passion, they've certainly gone down a weird route, ownership wise.
You can have European trophies galore, but if your owners are bonkers, it's goodnight sweetheart.

Re: Henri Lansbury
Does't indicate he can't be sold on Sky sports:
LANSBURY UPDATE
Nottingham Forest boss Philippe Montanier has been speaking ahead of his side’s FA Cup third round clash with Wigan and he’s given an update on the future of midfielder Henri Lansbury.
“We received an offer for Henri and we will see. We are not sure if he will stay, it is not my decision," Montanier said.
“It is a possibility that he will leave but also that he will stay, I cannot predict the future. It is less likely he will stay.
“Henri won't be involved tomorrow against Wigan as his head is not right to play.”
