fao any Burnley fan in top tier at the Etihad

Do you know if any of the rows were blocked off at the front as they were in the middle tier?

Yes, the first two rows were. I wondered why.

I've been asked the question. Seemed no logic to it at all. On the 2nd tier those seats were open in the home sections.

Tut, everybody knows that those 2 rows are there empty to protect Sterling from being racially abused by people who let the human race down.

Is it to do with the digital display boards possibly being obscured by flags ?

I noticed the same at the Reebok last season, the first couple of rows (certainly the first row anyway) were taped off. Obviously a health and safety thing, probably away fans tend to be more boisterous.

I seem to remember a clip where a supporter fell from the top tier, was it a few seasons ago? It was at a high profile stadium, probably in the Championship?

EDIT: The man who fell was a Cardiff fan celebrating a goal at Millwall

Noticed that the electronic boards were showing pictures of the City flags that used to hang over the tiers.

As already mentioned first two rows were covered in netting thus making row c the first row in use. I was sat in row c and looking at the height of the wall and barrier on top of it in front of row a, i can see why they are not in use. Look totally inadequate to me and could see someone going over the top whilst leaping around celebrating a goal. On another point.. i was sat right up next to the city fans (using the word fans loosely here) because the amount of abuse they were giving there own players was unreal, effing this useless that, none stop.. until of course the goals went in then same folk are standing up singing "we love you city, we do" really was pathetic. Also mate of mine said he heard Andre getting lots of racist abuse, whilst stewards and police stood there and did nothing, have to add that he did say it was only a few of them though .A shame it is still happening.

I was on the next to back row top tier...........whilst I couldn't see who or what had the ball.......and knackered by the time I got there the wifi coverage was excellent and I could sit watching sky sports on my IPad.....got the Goals on IPad before the news got to me at the back of the stand that a goal had been scored!

I was very impressed with the free wifi, before the game and during half time it was really quick.
