It'll take him 7 years to get Dyche fit.

Why would they recall him from Sunderland to loan him to us?

Perhaps it was only a loan till January, like it was for Agyei to Coventry.

Season long loan at Sunderland but Man United must be able to end early under the terms of the agreement.

Talking of Agyei I saw him being linked with a loan move to Ipswich.

Going back to Januzaj would Mourinho let him go to Burnley as I don't think we're exactly his favourite other club

Mourinho come into the burnley dressing room at old trafford and shook all the players hands . I dont think he hates us that much

Maybe we're willing to take him on a more permanent arrangement than Sunderland e.g. half season loan with a view to permanent if we stay up type deal.

I thought he played well for Utd before going abroad.
If we were to make an offer to buy then Man U might be able to recall him from Sunderland.
Plenty of skill that would compliment the 'team' ethic at Turf Moor!

Considering the fact that Sunderland fans don't even rate him I'm not sure how this would be a class signing.

If we are being linked to the likes of Januzai & Tom Cleverly, that is clearly an upgrade and show of intent on behalf of the manager and board on what has gone before.

If either one comes off, that would be a significant improvement to the squad as a whole.

Seems a flimsy link, but there is certainly a player in Januzaj.

He's another who had too much too quickly, but he's got pace, talent, and two feet. The question is whether he can regain the confidence which has clearly gone, or has the appetite to work back on his flank that we seem to demand.

Kefka claret, whatever you're smoking I would very much like some. Belgium international, still young and not lived up to his potential? Who on earth do you expect us to sign, De Bruyne? We are Burnley, players of his calibre are miles ahead of our current crop.

A couple of years ago he looked like he had a great future ahead of him, never really moved on. Lots of skill but lightweight. One proper tackle and he's quiet for the rest of the game.

I suspect our history of hardly ever playing loan players under Dyche would put many a perspective signing and MORE importantly the parent club off Burnley. You would not blame them for thinking `what is the point?`.

Doesn't fit our framework. He didn't track back with Sunderland on NYE. He gave Ward as much space as he wanted. He'd need to spend some time with George Boyd to learn his craft.

I wouldn't touch this guy with a barge pole, absolutely useless show pony who's career is plummeting faster than a rat up a drain pipe, was the next big thing two seasons ago, produces nothing and was absolutely useless at the Turf on New Years Eve...nowhere near a Dyche player.

The goal he made for Defoe at the Turf was one of the most exciting and determined I've seen for a long time. Two or three of them off the bench when we are trying to break the deadlock could keep us up.

Would be a better version of Stanislas for us. One game in three would be great, he wouldnt track back and his goals/assists would all be belters.

Depends on how much he would cost but probably a great option to have when we need creativity. Not that I thing for one iota of a second that we have any realistic chance of getting him.

If he comes in then it'll be as a permanent transfer as there's no way that Man Utd would bring him back from one loan where he's been playing regularly to send him out on another where he has no guarantees and will have to play himself into the team...

For me then it all comes down to how much we're willing to spend on him. I can't see us getting much change out of £8-10 million (if any!) and he'll probably want quite substantial wages too.

Oft said on here but "In Dyche we trust"... I'd imagine that he'll be looking to the board to back him on at least one big (by our standards!) purchase this transfer window- just to see that he will receive the support he needs to push the club on from yo-yo team to stable lower Premier League club. Otherwise he might start to think that the time to move on is fast approaching; whether we stay up or not...

Do people realise he's only 21? I'm shocked people would view this as a bad signing considering his experience, age and previous clubs.

We would pay 10 million for a young championship player with international experience. If we can pick him up for anything around that I'd be amazed.

Not in a million years! He was pathetic at the Turf. Didn't look interested! He didn't break a sweat.

Agree with C&b i thought first half he was worst player on the pitch, look disinterested and made know effort to track Ward. He might be a player Dyche could work with and get the his full potential out of him but not one to spend our money on this Jan with focus to help keep us up.

Brady is def the better bet and who we should splash the cash on

Arfield, Lowton, Heaton, Ward...

All not really fancied at the clubs they were at but have done are doing well since we signed them
