Reports saying we have enquired about alex pritchard now
Re: robert snodgrass
I think the Board are going all out to ensure we stay up. They are trying to support Dyche and push us on to the next level. Hopefully, one of these will come off. I can't see many players being happy at Hull under the current regime. The owner may wish to cash out and Snoddy's agent will be pushing for a pay day. A bold move to be congratulated whatever the outcome.

Re: robert snodgrass
Snodgrass is a terrific player who would seriously improve our first 11.
Cant see it.
Cant see it.
Re: robert snodgrass
I know it's a choice between Snodgrass or Brady but honestly, if we were prepared to pay 15 to 20 million for Grosicki and Stevens then adding a few quid and getting both would definitely take us to the next level. I don't expect it to happen but this board would go into total meltdown if it was to happen.

Re: robert snodgrass
Maybe boyd isnt getting a new contract and were after 2 of the 3 names mentioned
Re: robert snodgrass
I think most PL clubs would be pretty stupid not too try and get Snodgrass in considering the amounts being bid. He'd be a bargain for most PL sides on current form at £6-8M, although I suspect it would take a lot more to get him but you have to question why all these bids seem low? maybe clubs have been given a price by Hull.

Hull triggered an extra year in his contract
Re: robert snodgrass
Thought he was out of contract this summer so that's not an explanation then. So I can see why the figures being quoted may seem on the low side.KefkaClaret wrote:Hull triggered an extra year in his contract

7.5m for Snotty would be stupid - he's easily worth double that

That could also mean that they knew that if he was to move on, it strengthens their claim to a sizeable fee. Just a thought.KefkaClaret wrote:Hull triggered an extra year in his contract

Obviously. He'd be able to move on for free in the summer otherwise.Zom Zom wrote:That could also mean that they knew that if he was to move on, it strengthens their claim to a sizeable fee. Just a thought.

Re: robert snodgrass
I would think the value is due to his age and contract length. At 29, 30 in Sept he is not going to have a resale value. if given a 3 year deal he will be 32 with a year left and will not have a resale value.
So basically its a gamble to keep you up with no chance of recouping any money.
Would I buy him, yes. Would I pay much more than 7.5, may be another million. But would love to get him.

Re: robert snodgrass
snodgrass stood out in a very poor team, definately got a great knack of scoring recently, would be a brilliant addition.
Re: robert snodgrass
Never going happen. If Hull can't pay him enough, how can we.
We almost always never comment on transfers, even via the local press. Here we have clearly stated we have bid £7.5 million. Clearly just a ploy to force Norwich hands.

We have 'clearly stated' absolutely nothing. Chris Boden has just said that his 'contacts' seem to think it's true. He has said the same numerous times in the past about many supposed targets.Steddyman wrote:Never going happen. If Hull can't pay him enough, how can we.

Re: robert snodgrass
I dont think our board bid 7.5 million to play a game of chess. I am sure SD has a list.
Bid for Brady, Norwich reject our 13.5 m bid. We didnt start at 4 like we have in the past, its a serious bid. we were criticising the board and saying they never learn.
Looks to me like they have, and its a massive credit we should give to them.
Norwich not accepting, would you pay more, not me so move to second choice.
Snodgrass, we all agree great addition, biggest bid so far 6 m so we bid 7.5. thats got to be close to an acceptable bid.
I wrote on another Snodgrass thread we should do this, if you bid 8.5 and they dont bite they are not. selling cause he is worth no more, age and contract

Re: robert snodgrass
I can't see them selling for that sort of price. If Hull City have indeed taken up the option to extend his contract and he has 18 months left then you'd think he's worth more than that.
Anyone remember his dive earlier this season versus Palace? Awful. Decent player though!

That's still just Boden relying on his contacts, no word from anyone official (and you wouldn't expect there to be).Steddyman wrote:It's more than that:

Re: robert snodgrass
That's written by Chris Boden. All it says is:
"A bid of £7.5m has reportedly been tabled"
Absolutely nothing from the club. It's all just come from his 'contacts'.

All our signing on fees are "undisclosed" which is why Andre cost 37 million, Brady will be closer to the 50 million mark

Its not looking good on the brady front . That agent jason oconnor put a tweet up about 15 mins ago . Saying that norwich still have a slim chance of keeping brady but he expects him to still sign for burnley . Now the tweet has been deleted . Read into that what you will

I think Snodgrass is a player who would fit in very well.
10 million bid might do it (think he's worth it)

Re: robert snodgrass
I am sure I read that Snodgrass and his agent were not aware of the extra 12 month option and it was not on their copy of the contract. Hence if this is true maybe that is why the low ball offers. If he is kept on they may challenge the contract so Hull would have to sell rather than have a court case

Re: robert snodgrass
Fair to guestimate that West Ham would pay him an extra 20k a week, good job cause he'll spend that living in London haha
Re: robert snodgrass
I'd imagine that'll be because West Ham will pay him more than we would.

Typical Boden article. He says "reportedly" not anything along the lines of "my sources indicate". He's read it on MailOnline and then put a bit of an article together. Tremendous work
