Re: robert snodgrass
Negredo's wages are rumoured to be £100,000 a week, remember that when he signed, my next door neighbour is a Boro fan
Re: robert snodgrass
Negredo loan deal - widely reported at £100k per week
Valdes - was previously on £100k a week so no surprise if he is not on somewhere around that.
Chambers loan deal - £12m transfer for Arsenal a couple of years ago - so has to be on £50k a week.
Ramirez - £16m paid by Southampton 4 or 5 years ago....don`t know what Boro paid or where he was in terms of his contract situation - but be amazed if he was on less than £40k a week
Rhodes and Nugent must be on a total of £60k to £80k a week between them based on their wages at their previous club.
Would not be surprised at all if Boro salary costs were double Burnleys.
I don`t know who spent most in the summer - most fees are undisclosed these days. However, I do know that Boro have thrown a hell of a lot more money than Burnley at trying to reach the Premier League and then trying to stay in the Premier League.

Re: robert snodgrass
I thing I read this in that "Gazzette" paper publication from the NE, therefore it must be trueEstonhills wrote:We actually had a net spend less than Burnley in the Summer so I don't know how you work that out? He has said he wants to improve the team and squad which he has done every transfer window. Its called improving. He arrived and we were going down, almost bottom in Nov, finished mid table. Next season the play off final, Season after promotion. Hopefully stay up this year.
Re: robert snodgrass
You pretty much guessed all of them though. Nugent on 80k a week? surely notTVC15 wrote:Negredo loan deal - widely reported at £100k per week

yet you were the one that continued the conversation by questioning it
Re: robert snodgrass
It's also in today's Daily Telegraph that we've bid 7.5M for him. He's a sort of Dean Marney type of player, who we also got from Hull. Maybe Boyd as well, might put a good word in for Burnley who are also near to Scotland, so that might be a bonus in our favour. Certainly having a great season with Hull, but would it be worth their risk to part with their best player?
Re: robert snodgrass
He's nothing like Dean Marney who was not at Hull whilst Snodgrass was there. In fact Boyd and Snodgrass may have only passed each other as one was leaving and the other joining.
Re: robert snodgrass
No they weren't but they're at Burnley now, so they might call him to tell him how much better it is here. I thought Snodgrass was a 'box-to-box' player like Marney isn't he? How would you describe him , DC?
Re: robert snodgrass
Think Scott Arfield with better ball retention and crossing ability.
Not sure if he works as hard though
I'm of the impression he can play on the right in a 4 and / or just behind the striker in a 5

Re: robert snodgrass
Tricky, skilful, great with the ball at his feet and very good delivery. Definitely different to Marney.

sky sports news reported that WHam had a 6 million bid rejected. No mention of Burnley, but he was not at training today.
Anyone seen arriving at the turf.
