Big Fat Sam and Crystal Palace

Post by Spijed » Sat Jan 14, 2017 7:37 pm

Crystal Palace - a club too far for him to save?

For a manager who prides himself on making teams hard to beat he's got a very big challenge by the looks of it.

It takes him around 10 games to get his way across. They'll be reyt.

10 games ? They could then be 10 points adrift with 7 to play.

I'd be delighted if crooked BFS took Palace down - sadly I think they'll just scrape survival though.

Won't be his fault though the pundits will blame everyone and everything apart from BFS and his tactics. Hope they drop.

I think there's 3 teams worse. They do concede a lot though.

The odd draw is fine. Just don't win anything! No Zaha, of course.

BFS is a good manager but he certainly lacks giving the opposition any credit or respect. Every time his side loses it's something his team did wrong; never that maybe the opposition were better or played well. I don't like that in managers. A manager should acknowledge the opposition and give them credit where it's due.

No issue with Palace but I hope the fat greedy get is relegated. I am sick of seeing this parasitic money grubbing slob hovering around relegated threatened clubs waiting to move in when their managers are sacked by pannicky chairmen. Maybe a relegation might take the shine of this two hat for good.

Hope they go down, better for us.

No way they should be where they are with the players they have though.

Would be a surprise if they went down but he has got off to a very poor start - losing at home to Swansea has to be a huge concern.

Assume he will strengthen his defence in the remainder of the window but even so unlikely that they can get 10 more points than us in the 17 remaining games.

Would prefer to see them go purely on the basis that if he stays they are bound to be much improved next season whereas the current bottom three could be long-term strugglers at this level.

In addition, the sooner an Allardyce/Pulis team gets relegated the better. Teams struggling at Christmas always seem to sack their manager and bring one of these two in and so far it is has meant guaranteed survival. Something needs to happen to cast an element of doubt in the minds of clubs we may be battling with to avoid the drop in future.
