Rejected, this message board has been around for about a year now. In a previous life the majority of the posters used to frequent 'claretsmad' - part of the footymad network.
Claretsmad went pear shaped as a direct result of intrusive advertising from footymad. People voted with their feet and moved. There's some right tefal heads on here who know how to set up a new message board. And they did.

That's class. Must admit, I looked at a few footymad message boards to advertise my book on. After about 5 minutes I decided I didn't want to. The set up looked awful.HollandsPies wrote:Rejected, this message board has been around for about a year now. I'd be interested to know from rejected as to how the Sunderland fans view their financial mess.
As an onlooker your club is in serious danger after relegation unless you cut costs dramatically.
What's the view on Wearside?

I've been on this board since it started in January. In a year I've posted almost 4500 times already which is making me re-assess my life, lol. I was on the previous board for about 8 years or so (but had been a lurker for a bit longer than that).

Incredibly worried. The news of how bad the debt is was a shock. £210m makes us the second most in debt club in england and sixth in Europe. How can this happen whilst averaging 43000 fans still??Royboyclaret wrote:I'd be interested to know from rejected as to how the Sunderland fans view their financial mess.

Relegation and a chance to rebuild may have been a good thing but with this debt we SIMPLY CAN NOT afford to go down?!

Re: I've been on this board exactly one week. . .
Cheers rejected.........As Sidney1st points out the biggest flaw in your business plan is paying almost £80million in wages with an Income that is virtually the same. With other costs it's simply unsustainable and little wonder you needed a further loan of £70million last year.
And some posters on here want Burnley to immediately increase their wage ceiling to £50k per week.
That's not going to happen and even though it makes us pretty much unique in the Prem at least we are doing things correctly and within our means. It's time other clubs did the same.

She's too busy keeping Mr Dyche from spiralling out of control with his joint hobbies of drinking whisky and sky diving.
I'd go with Saxo, KBRFC and Sam (un)Well.
Mind you we haven't seen Sam for a while, so he could be both Saxo and KBRFC.
It could be 3 or it could be just 1.

To be fair, if we were all in the same pub for a drink, most wouldn't know who was who/what name they posted under....people would all be arguing that "I didn't post that/that's not me...."
We will all need to wear name badges....
But one or two would have forgotten who they are - and pick up the wrong badge.
Perhaps one or two others would be wearing more than one badge - one on the left lapel and the other on the right...

on one of the other threads (Brady) there is a suggestion that Sunderland are interested in buying Brady - as a replacement for Defoe.

In a nutshell, it is a forum for incisive debate on all things Burnley, populated by likeminded individuals who, whilst they may occasionallydiffer in their views ever so slightly, are prepared to sit back and ponder counter opinions whilst scratching their beards thoughtfully.
Never is a cross word spoke, we are as one.
An eloquent collective of knowledgeable football types, we like the cut and thrust of modern sport.
It is a messageboard that is akin to the Roman senate, we analyse , we put forth our thoughtful sentiments.
Dickens or Keates would be at home here.
The majority are partial to a sweet sherry of an evening as they don their smoking jackets and sit upon their chesterfields and beguile us with their daily musings on all things Claret.
We trust you will find these surroundings condusive ,and consider us as friends for life. You are most welcome.
