Re: Pritchard
As I said on an earlier thread we cannot compete in the market for the likes of Brady when other premier league and several of the championship clubs are interested and its just laughable and a complete waste of time to think we could sign such as Snodgrass.
Its very tough for us to sign decent players with our wage structure constraints and a complete waste of time for us to talk about these players as none of them have a hope in hell of happening.

Re: Pritchard
Should be looking to add better quality each window especially with the money we currently have at our disposal.
Re: Pritchard
It's not easy for us - but I think with the recent signings of Defour and Hendrick and where we are in the league - not to mention our very healthy financial position things are getting better / easier.
We are never going to "bet the ranch" but all of a sudden we've got a very f'in big ranch Sue Ellen !!

There is nothing wrong with a sound financial structure anx a bunch of hungry players out to impress.

Re: Pritchard
Snodgrass - don't think we have a chance, he'll want one last big money move. West Ham will pay far more in wages.
Pritchard - seems all paper talk and guess work. Not had a great season, to me means why give Norwich what they paid for him? Also he has previously turned us down, at least once.
Brady - I think this is still a runner, seems Norwich are trying to replace him before he leaves. I would imagine he wouldn't be against coming here, with his good friend already at the club, and as one Irish paper is reporting Hendrick has already been in his ear. Hope we can meet his wage demands, as he really is a touch of class, and would improve the side.
Is it just me who really doesn't like the club dealing with Norwich? Always has that same feeling of dealing with Fawaz and Forest.

And we are about to go into a massive run of away games. It would be stupid not to strengthen now knowing our weakness on the wings.

Re: Pritchard
We don't need wingers for the run of away games. Just park the bus successfully and try and hit them with an over the top for Andre. If we can keep a couple of clean sheets away from home we could be safe by the end of Feb.Steddyman wrote:And we are about to go into a massive run of away games. Re: Pritchard
I can see the sense in this one, as it's our left side that is the weaker of the two, Boyd and JBG v Arfield and Kightly.
Pritchard would be an improvement on both, Kights will be away in the summer you would think in any case.
Would prefer Brady or Snodgrass but i can't see SD employing two left sided flank players.
All 3 of them are set piece specialists, which is a massive bonus and is definitely required, as i wouldn't describe Joey/Boyd as a consistent goal threat from free kicks despite recent events.

Re: Pritchard
I don't think he would be a bad addition as he plays as an attacking midfielder and possibly could be used on the wing, only 23 so still plenty to learn maybe a little light weight but could talk to Andre about bulking up a bit and if we are playing 3 in the middle and 2 wide couple of injuries would put us under pressure have to use the young lads again, or should say O'Neil. We do not know what they are like until they start playing for the team and I wasn't over keen on Hendrick when we bought him, shows what me and quite a few others know about football management Fifa or Championship Manager at best

Re: Pritchard
Wouldn't be overly pleased if we paid £8m for him. Brady or Snodgrass would be ideal but not this kid.
