MOTD tonight
Sorry, everyone.
Just wanted to post: why aren't we on tonight!
Of course, I know we didn't play today - I'm just getting "in the mood" for tomorrow afternoon at the Emirates.

Obviously a lot tougher than he thought but City should have won by three or four today.

Re: MOTD tonight
How that wasn't a penalty I'll never know. Baffling.
What is it with these world class teams conceding 100% of their shots against? Why can none of the big teams actually defend??

Shearer reckons Wayne Rooney has a superb attitude and would play for £50 a week.
He must have forgotten that bit when he wanted to leave unless he got £200,000 a week.

Sunderland away kit. What the hell.
'that's exactly what we're looking for lads! Pink and purple hoops!'

Interesting comment and not so much disagreeing with you but...ksrclaret wrote:Shearer reckons Wayne Rooney has a superb attitude and would play for £50 a week.

Do you think he made the wrong decision all them years ago
I for one don't think he did it for money but to further his career which I think he has done and time that Barkley did the same
Re: MOTD tonight
Im not Rooneys biggest fan but you can't ignore the records. He's been great for Utd and England. We also looked like being contenders for Euro 2004 before getting injured.

Re: MOTD tonight
Taking Shearer's away goals record for the Prem is a pretty special one to have - shows his competitive spirit
Re: MOTD tonight
No he's made the right decision to earn as much money as he can in his short career, and he's no doubt a fantastic player.
But let's not pretend he's all about the game and not the money, because it's obviously not true.

Re: MOTD tonight
Everton fans may finally appreciate Roonsys decision to move to united now. Great player. Fantastic record. If he was Argentinian we would be comparing him with Messi. Instead because he is English we look to criticise his weaker aspects of his game or his lifestyle etc.
In reality he has been a great player for club and country. He has broken our goalscoring record in our worse sides in almost 40 years.
2004 was a very very good side and that shows in his goals at the euros that year.
That goal tonight is one of the best free kicks ive ever seen.

Re: MOTD tonight
The pena. was not given because all the refs think that Sterling is a diving cheating so and so. Serves him and the team of ref. conners right.

The refs should take care, someone will write an article claiming they're racist and then Rowls can go fishing with it.summitclaret wrote:The pena. was not given because all the refs think that Sterling is a diving cheating so and so. Serves him and the team of ref. conners right.

I'm seriously starting to wonder if Sam is a busted flush like Moyes.

To be fair he has taken on a job which is looking increasingly diffficult. There is something fundamentally wrong at palace as they have some cracking players.Sidney1st wrote:I'm seriously starting to wonder if Sam is a busted flush like Moyes.
But I wouldn't laugh if BFS got a relegation on his CV ..... honest....

They were probably better off keeping Pardew to be fair.

Either way the longer they struggle the better for us. Schlupp is a poor signing, hopefully they don't get some decent defenders in because once he cracks that They will come good. Should be too late by then hopefully.

Re: MOTD tonight
Palace up top are a decent side. Remy and Benteke are easily good enough to be in a top half side.
Cabaye too.
Its at the back they are weak and thats enough to send any side down. We are pretty solid throughout and have the ability to grind out results and battle. Something we have struggled with before. We have experience and belief throughout to compliment genuine talent. We also seem to have few if any bad egos. They all have egos sure. But no primadonnas. Dyche wont allow.

Re: MOTD tonight
As the highlights played I said to our Matt - "look at benteke - he's so lazy. He needs to be gambling more and getting into the box". Then the analysis was how the Palace forwards are all a pile of cack and how they're not pulling their weight.Right_winger wrote:To be fair he has taken on a job which is looking increasingly diffficult. Look as bad as Sunderland at the moment.

Re: MOTD tonight
Hate sterling. But I thought he should've had two pens. The blatant push and the challenge from rose.
There was also the incident in which he clearly dived, and the ref acknowledged that by gesticulating the "get up" hand gesture. Maybe that's the problem when you are seen as a cheat. The genuine fouls against you don't get given.
Having said all that, credit to sterling for staying on his feet.
Anyone think that in this day and age, with so much at stake, and with retrospective action being taken against players, that we should be looking at taking action over professional refs who get things drastically wrong?

Re: MOTD tonight
Just heard the commentator suggest there might be retrospective action taken against djilobodji (sp) for his punch on fletcher. Thing is, the replay shows the ref clearly saw it.
Last thing we need is that lad being suspended. We want him playing, he's dogshit.

He probably balanced his worth to the club against most of the first team squad just like many other top players have done, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry et al.ksrclaret wrote:Shearer reckons Wayne Rooney has a superb attitude and would play for £50 a week.
He must have forgotten that bit when he wanted to leave unless he got £200,000 a week.
If his agent can get him a pay rise, then he is doing his job correctly.

Re: MOTD tonight
Fat Sam blaming the ref again. Ref bang on. Retrospective action for schlupp.
Maybe someone needs to get all the managers together and brief them on what's right and what's wrong. They don't help themselves do they. I struggle to take them seriously in their post match statements.
