I have tried to console myself with the facts that

I didn't expect anything but a drubbing and it was anything but that and

We made a real fist of that game and should have come away with a point

I don't think I expected us to get drubbing because we have a good solid back 5 but I didn't expect us to get anything from there so to be sooooo close again to get a point against the arse is pretty frustrating but also illustrates how far we have come! A couple of decent additions and I really think we can finish top half. Defence is sorted just need to sort out the attacking side of us now.

It was made worse by my 8 years old son's Arsenal supporting school mate doing the 'L' sign on his forehead on arrival at school drop this morning - I wanted to strangle the little scrote........

I wasn't particularly angry so there's not much to calm down from.
I was, however, extremely disappointed that we' didn't manage to hold on
for a few more minutes.

I don't think Mee should have gone for the ball irrespective of whether he knew
the Arsenal player was coming in or not and/or whether he was offside.
It just wasn't the right thing to do and could have led to an own goal or a penalty
which is what it did.

Whatever, we need to move on now and get the players in we need
and try to make sure we get a few more away points on the board.
We have been saying for a few weeks now that we're getting close
but as yet haven't managed to get one point on the board.

We bounced when it happened at home (7 pts from the next 4 games) so I'm hoping we have some of that again!

A similar return over the next 4 games and we are nearly home and hosed.

Well I watched that Apple Tree Yard on the box last night and at my age in life I thought that my sleep may have had a decent dream or two....but NO oh NO I woke up cheering we had just beaten Arsenal in the FA Cup at Wembley and the ref had given us a penalty in the last minute that wasn't a penalty. I then realised as I awoke that I don't know if it was the Semi Final or Final as I had woken up to bloody early. Oh well there is always tonight to see if I can find the answer or better still Apple Tree Yard

So you don't think a defender of ours should have gone for a ball that was going to an opposition player at the back post?

Of the top 6 we've now played all but Liverpool away. We got a draw at United and with a bit more luck could have got points at City, Spurs and Arsenal - only Chelsea have given us a lesson.

The Chelsea game was early in the season and we are now a significantly stronger team and will get stronger.

Keep the faith our luck will turn and that away record that everyone in the media is so quick to quote will change and I'm sure it will soon become our strength!!

If Mee knew the Arsenal player was coming in given the position he (Mee) was in then
no he shouldn't because he wasn't close enough to get it and therefore risking a foul or possible own goal.
Had he been coming our from the near post then yes but he, nor anyone else was.

It's not a question of hindsight, BOT. It's a question of judgement by the player and
admittedly all players may get it wrong some times.
In my view Mee got it wrong this time.

I'm still pretty angry at the decision. It was an absolute whopper from the official.

However, I'm also very disappointed by our defending. I accept Mee had a tricky decision to make, but he could have gone with his head, or he could have focussed on making the chance more difficult for the attacker. I don't think he needed to make the clearance in quite the way he did, and he invited trouble by doing so. I'm not convinced that had Mee left it, it would have been a particularly clear chance in the first place.

I also don't know which is worse, two 5-0 drubbings against them or two narrow losses in games we should have drawn but for diabolical decisions by the officials.

I just feel that it is 2014-15 season all over again. We hardly ever get a decision in our favour when it matters. SD says it will even itself out but it didn't last time and regrettably I don't think it will this time either.

Definitely calmed down now. I do think the fact they should have had a pen earlier softens the blow a little BUT the fact is we just aren't getting big decisions given which is something which continually annoys me. It's as though we have we to play as well as we possibly can then rely on officials not favouring whoever we are up against. Tough to accept and not get frustrated at. Luckily the players and SD are mentally strong, forget the past and crack on which should see us stay up this season.

It is the inconsistency that riles me. When Vokes was about to head in at West Ham, he was put off by a flying boot similar to Mee's effort. Had he gone down clutching his face as Koscielny did (although it hardly touched his head not his face) would we have got a penalty? Answers on a postage stamp please.

Got to say though...had immense pride at our display yesterday. We were always going to up against it given the standard of the opposition.

Was a little disappointed leaving the ground yesterday but felt proud we gave a great performance. I have felt a lot worse coming away from Gresty Road and other similar grounds after a drubbing.

I watched the match on TV, always find it totally exhausting. Kept a lid on it when it happened but was seething. So disappointed, couldn't believe our bad luck. Felt like the day after a night on the beer for the rest of the evening. Anyone elese feel totally drained after watching our games?
