Poor ticket sales
Under 300 sold so far for a 4th round game
City travel to Premier League Burnley on Saturday No pay on the day sales at Turf Moor
Just under 300 tickets sold
City supporters are advised that there will be no pay on the day sales at Burnley on Saturday (January 28th, 3pm).
Just shy of 300 tickets have been sold in advance for the Emirates FA Cup fourth round tie at Turf Moor.
There will also be no collections available at the stadium on the day, so tickets will need to be collected from the Bristol Sport Store by 5pm on Friday (January 27th).
Sales will continue from Ashton Gate until 2pm on Friday – both online and by phone.
Fans without tickets are advised not to travel to Turf Moor to avoid disappointment.

Very poor to say they're playing against a Prem team!

Re: Poor ticket sales
Sadly we got the wrong Bristol team in the cup. One side would have filled the cricket field for the same game the other will bring between 500 and 600.
They have never really travelled well despite a higher home crowd.

Re: Poor ticket sales
Considering what happened to them last time they played at TM, I don't blame them

Re: Poor ticket sales
To be fair I've seen Bristol play at Fulham twice in the last 12 months and they filled the away end there on both occasions; and had a significant chunk of the "neutral" section too...
They can travel if they want to. Just this isn't a priority for them....

Re: Poor ticket sales
They've just lost 8 league games in a row, I think 300 is a decent effort considering

Bristol Rovers?
Seriously?
Re: Poor ticket sales
Would have been a big draw for them. Also a tick for the new generation of fans.
Nice cup day out with nothing to lose would have seen Bristol R fetch 1,500 ish IMO

We've played them a zillion times

Re: Poor ticket sales
It will be because there is no away ticket office like lots of grounds and I would imagine they won't want away fans lining up at our ticket office. Pay on the gate is a thing of the past I'm afraid

Not the world, just Burnley.

Sunderland were allowed to pay on the night last week if I remember correctly.Andreshotboots wrote:It will be because there is no away ticket office like lots of grounds and I would imagine they won't want away fans lining up at our ticket office. Pay on the gate is a thing of the past I'm afraid

That's right - blame Burnley without knowing the situationMACCA wrote:Not the world, just Burnley.
Re: Poor ticket sales
Without sounding harsh CT it is hardly going to be on police request, nor would Bristol C be so keen for tickets to go off sale at 14:00 Friday with no pay on the day. It effects them not one jot.ClaretTony wrote:That's right - blame Burnley without knowing the situation
That leaves Burnley, and lets not pretend they don't have form for strange ideas and strange ticketing arrangements.

Re: Poor ticket sales
Considering theyre in horrific form and considering we're really not a glamour tie in the slightest it's not wholly suprising. That said they've always travelled ok and i'f asked off the top of head i'd have expected them to bring a good 1500 (before reading he thread) I'd expect a decent Burnley crowd again with the low entrance fee and I presume tickets will be sold on match day for Burnley fans?

"Poor ticket sales". How are the sales going for the middle class, and the rich elites? IT should know.

Re: Poor ticket sales
A tenner is a top price for 4th round FA Cup.
It's a shame that I don't think there will be many more than 10k on again. It's worth the entrance fee alone to watch Tarks

400 now and it's the ground apparently!
"And it has to be said, Turf Moor does not possess the same appeal as The Hawthorns, a thoroughly modern venue that welcomed more than 4,000 City fans last year.
Given that City have important Championship fixtures away to Derby County and Leeds United coming up, some fans are no doubt happy to save their money to fund trips to the iPRO Stadium and Elland Road."

Re: Poor ticket sales
The Hawthorns is very easy to get too, and quite a local game for them.
Factor in they haven't played them for a while, I'd expect them to take a few thousand.
Coming to Burnley has seen them ship quite a lot of goals, and with their current form, it could be another 4 something

Saw that earlier. I think we should make a late appeal to the FA to have the game played at a neutral venue and beg for said venue to be The Hawthorns.

It would seem hardly any town/city has much appeal for their fans to visit.

Quite a poetic phrase to describe the town in the article. Pity they don't know their east from their west!

Or the fact that iPro has ended its sponsorship of Derby's identikit stadium. It's now reverted to Pride Park.Frenchclaret wrote:"nestling in folds of the east Pennine hills"
