Re: Andrew Robertson
Its amazing how many good players hull apparently have given that theyve been terrible most of the season.
If they stay up its the appointment of silva. Very good manager. Theyve barely any players that would get into our side.

Re: Andrew Robertson
Daily Star reporting our interest in signing him this morning.
Re: Andrew Robertson
That's 2 stories in 2 days ag. Maybe you should replace the old Big Dave Sunday review of the papers! It's a post that's missed.

Re: Andrew Robertson
Isn't Robertson basically Brady? Or is he a fullback only? Could be our fallback option maybe

Re: Andrew Robertson
Starts for Hull today and as our reported bid is £3m I think it's a case of "yeah, right".

Re: Andrew Robertson
So they have just said that the Daily Star say that Robertson is £3Million transfer target for Burnley.
When the Daily Star say in their very detailed report that 'Their next target is Scotland left-back Andy Robertson, valued at £3million.'
Nothing at all about us making a bid or what Burnley and Hull value the player at, just a journo plucking figures from thin air and everyone running with it.

Re: Andrew Robertson
We sign Robertson as our new first choice left back, we then add Ward into the deal for Brady. They get a top end championship left back, we land our main target. Everybody wins.

Re: Andrew Robertson
Can't see how we win by letting one of our most consistent performers this season leave.
Re: Andrew Robertson
That would be a great outcome (if not a bit fanciful).....we`d be extremely strong down the left side.PremierLeagueClass wrote:We sign Robertson as our new first choice left back, we then add Ward into the deal for Brady. The only other thing is that Ward does not deserve it either as he has been excellent this year - Dyche is loyal to the players who deserve it and do not think he would do this unless Ward wanted it.
So in summary - aint gonna happen !
Re: Andrew Robertson
I wouldn't be too bothered IF we got Taylor from Leeds for say 5/6m , allowing him to remain at Leeds until the summer.
They get a good fee, don't lose the player at this important stage, we get him ahead of any interested parties and we get a great player in the summer ready to fight it out with Ward next season.
It would be great forward thinking.
I really can't see any negatives in that deal for us.

Re: Andrew Robertson
I get the impression the new Hull manager is keen to make as many changes in personnel as possible in the short time he has been given.

Re: Andrew Robertson
Robertson would be a good purchase.....can't see it though
Re: Andrew Robertson
I think Robertson looks a very good prospect, I'd be amazed if we got him for that sort of money In this market.
Re: Andrew Robertson
I have decided I would like Robertson in preference to Brady.
That's it.
That's it.
Re: Andrew Robertson
At the moment Ward in one of first names on team sheet for me.

Re: Andrew Robertson
Selling Ward right now would be an act of sheer lunacy and I expect it is one of the furthest thoughts from Dyche's mind.
Not only is he currently one of our most reliable and impressive performers, he's also at the heart of what this squad is about. Much of his first 18 months at Burnley must have been relatively frustrating, but he kept his head down and took his chance when it came. He's one of 4 of our first team - along with Barnes, Gray and Boyd - who has climbed the ladder right from non league football (Irish League in his case) and the ethic of working bloody hard and making the most of every moment is the bedrock of our squad. Selling the players who are at the core of that ethic would be an act of removing the foundations that we're built upon.
I'm all for Burnley going out and signing good players, for good money, and showing some ambition. We have the clout now and we should capitalise. But we must always mix that with some realism about what we are and where we've come from, and we must keep a core of players like Ward who will keep those honest values front and centre within the squad.

Re: Andrew Robertson
Where did the sale of Ward come from ?
Re: Andrew Robertson
Can't see us getting Robertson but if we do then fair enough.
He could be a very good addition.
