Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
We need to have a replacement for Bamford as a long term injury to Gray, Barnes or Vokes will make us really struggle. Marney is out for the season and with Barton facing a possible ban and Defour not able to last 90 minutes especially when games are close together any other injury to our midfield could be calamitous. Plus the fact that we needed a decent winger and a creative player then 3 is a minimum but can't see it happening. If and it is still an if Brady does join we still need at least 2 others. I suspect a bid on a striker like Rhodes or somebody might happen on deadline day and hopefully a loan for Gradel might materialise.

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Yep, agreed. I had a guy feeling days ago that we wouldn't get either Snodgrass, nor Brady and something tells me that's still going to be the case. I just hope beyond hope that we are already going after somebody else. If we do get Brady it's a bonus, but we do need to be spending the weekend going for at least 1-2 others and increase our chances of landing 1 player. It could well be the difference between going down and staying up.Steddyman wrote:I say screw em and move on. Can't do with these clubs that think they are better than us and dick us about. If it doesn't get done today, then somebody else will panic bid for him on the last day and offer more wages.

No he doesn't. He has inside contacts at the club.Damo wrote:Boden gets all of is info off twitter, like everyone else

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
I would rather Daniel Agyei got the chance of 4th striker if he isn't going back on loan. The 10 minutes here and there will help him develop. Same with Ginnelly.
Whoever we sign needs to come straight into the first team to improve it with the replaced player becoming back up. Signing players for cover stops progress.

Don't make me laugh . Journalists are recruited to report news. The fact is that Boden is always a step, or usually many steps behind any breaking news.Steddyman wrote:No he doesn't. He has inside contacts at the club.

If rumours are correct and hes after touching 50 grand a week i cant see it happening . There has been a stumbling block for one reason or another and i doubt its due to the fact norwich dont have cover . There are plenty of players out there

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Norwich not having any cover would surely be quite a major stumbling block for them wouldn't it?? Didn't a deal for a left back for them fall through yesterday?Reecey1987 wrote:If rumours are correct and hes after touching 50 grand a week i cant see it happening . Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Wages doesn't seem to be the issue here, it's, as mentioned, the breakdown of the left back they were after.

It sounds better though if you put the blame on us not being able to pay him what he wants than the truth.

No idea what he's on, just like everyone else on here, but if wages were a stumbling block, then you'd have to question why we've hung in there for so long on this potential deal... that's if we have, and not already moved on.Reecey1987 wrote:If rumours are correct and hes after touching 50 grand a week i cant see it happening . Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Sounds like you're making up b*llocks. If Brady signs or not we've done all we possibly can to get him, not our fault Norwich's signing to replace him has fallen through at the last second. I still think we'll get him.Reecey1987 wrote:Sounds like we cant meet his wage demands

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Like other posters have said if they knew they was getting some decent monwy coming in they would find cover and not be playing him tomorrow aswell . I have no evidence that this is the case im just assuming like everybody else . Something quite doesnt add up

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Brady in Norwich squad for next game and although that doesn't automatically mean he will play that is not a good sign for us. I think that being the case we need to make public bids on someone else to put pressure on Norwich and Brady. If he wants a move to the PL then he needs to put in a transfer request NOW and if push comes to shove refuse to play. I can't believe Norwich would risk him getting injured if he was coming to us I think they are jerking us off if no further progress is made today on him talking to us on a move.

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Two things for sure we can do
1) afford him
2) pay his wages
Of course, it might well be that he thinks he can do better than us, but he's happy to come here if nowt better appears.

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Alex Neil is a manager under pressure who is possibly only one game away from the sack. He can't afford to play a rookie LB rather than Robbie Brady against Brum in a game he has to win. If his job was safe and Norwich had no aspiration to reach the play offs then I'm sure Brady would be " rested". Equally if we were doubling his money then I'm sure he'd do an Andy Gray/ Tarks and refuse to play. Since it's neither you can be sure he will play unless Norwich finally sign a LB, and then sign for us. That begs the question what happens on Tuesday if said LB is still not signed or if Leicester finally decide they want him. No point worrying about injuries: if fate wills that he gets injured in his next match it's better he's playing for Norwich rather than us!

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
As far as I'm aware Brady hasn't even put in a transfer request. I would be putting intense pressure on his agent to make him do so. If Norwich still won't budge then like others have suggested he needs to say he's not playing as is the way these days.
At the moment it's just faffing about

It may be taken out of Neil's hands in terms of team selection. Could be wrong though obviously

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Weird
Jason O'Connor posted a picture of Robbie Brady and his daughter doing a thumbs up and tweeted 'It's a yes to Burnley'.
Then before I could respond to it he deleted it. Could be a wind up because he is being bombarded by Burnley fans.

Again, too many people are assuming Brady will be in some kind of hurry to leave Norwich.
Why would he be?

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Not really a big issue, I think everything is done and agreed, but Norwich won't release him as they need him to play tomorrow.
Once that game is out of the way, he'll hopefully be ours.
Just as much chance he could get injured in training or driving up here than there is in a game tomorrow. luck of the draw.
