Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
The Norwich manager Alex Neil stated yesterday that much of the speculation (fee agreed/medical) was well wide of the mark.

Bad news for us.
Alex Neill is a bad tory, he'll ONCE AGAIN rise Brady's price up by 2/3 million
Don't think he'll want to sell Brady now either

honestly, he isn't that good. Be happy if he slips through the net.
Snodgrass would have probably been a points winner with his ability. shame we missed out there, but Brady ?

Past caring now. If he comes, bonus. If he doesn't we'll survive without him. Let's hope we don't have too many injuries.

And What IF? Neill doesn't get another left back, deal off? I would think so.

So would I, which is why I maintain we hopefully have pulled the plug or at the very least have a contingency waiting in the wings that is basically a given if we need it to be.CnBtruntru wrote:And What IF? Neill doesn't get another left back, deal off? I would think so.
We absolutely need a winger, as far as I am concerned. A winger and a central midfielder - crucial.

Brady, if he has ambition, will sign. Norwich going nowhere in the VNF.

Alex Neil got asked has Brady played his last game in a Norwich shirt

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
They can have Kightly, Darikwa or Flanagan...UTCAndrew123 wrote:Alex Neil got asked has Brady played his last game in a Norwich shirt

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
That's a good solution surely? Certainly Darikwa doesn't look like he is going to be good enough for us and could sweeten the deal.kaptin1 wrote:They can have Kightly, Darikwa or Flanagan...

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Surely, if a fee has been agreed (as some posters keep suggesting), Alex Neil should know if the price is "right" or "not right."
The key stumbling block appears to be Norwich finding a suitable replacement.

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
The good thing about them 3 is they can be used as cover and to give other lads a rest if needed in cup games etc. If we are short on staff we would have no cover and that would be as worse than not getting our targets.kaptin1 wrote:They can have Kightly, Darikwa or Flanagan...

Bit harsh on Darikwa and Flanagan. However, even I'd contemplate the drive to Norfolk to drop "Kights" off.Firthy wrote:They can have Kightly, Darikwa AND Flannagan

Oh the irony....
Two years on we are again hoping Lee Darnbrough can do his job to help us stay in the EPL.
Cue the inevitable email on Tuesday morning.

According to jason oconnor brady is on 30 k a week at norwich so if that is true he wont need to take a pay cut to come to burnley if anything he will stay on the same wage or have a slight increase

Reluctant to join this crazy debate on this thread but if 435 is true and earlier posts about the transfer fee being fully/ totally agreed are also true, then wtf is the hold up..?

But the statement from O'Connor was they have accepted the offer. Sounds like Brady is holding our for higher wages from us or more likely somebody else.claretdj wrote:Obviously holding out for more, hence playing him today..

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
Brady will be here Monday, in time for Leicester game.
There was no point in him arriving Friday, he wouldn't have played for us today in any case.
His arrival on Monday in time for Tuesday's game will give the turf a huge lift.

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
No fee has been agreed between Brentford and West ham for Hogan hence he played for Brentford today. Brentford are still claiming that West Ham offers fall well short of their valuation of the player.
Numerous posters on the Brady threads are claiming that a fee for Brady HAS been agreed between Burnley and Norwich. If that was correct he would not have played for Norwich today. There may well be further talks and he may join but it has not all been signed and sealed.
Jason O'Connor was claiming that Brady was travelling up to Burnley on Thursday night. Good job he managed to make it back to Norwich early on Friday morning to take a full part in training.

Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
It has seemed pretty obvious for some time now, that Brady is not over keen on joining us and quite simply holding out for another club to make him an offer.
Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
I think you're overthinking things, Alex Neil has said he will be allowed to leave once they find a replacement, it's no surprise the deal seemingly stalled when their deal to bring in a left back has collapsed. People overthinking and coming up with stupid theories, just wait a few more days and then speculate as to why he didn't come (if he doesn't) but I am still confident he will come, there is no reason not to be confident.Steddyman wrote:But the statement from O'Connor was they have accepted the offer. We was an about offering michael keane our highest paid player so that must if been touching 40 k a week . Im sure bradys wages will be in our reach
Re: Robbie Brady confirmed (speculation)
I just looked on that O'Connor fellas twitter account, it's embarrassing how bombarded he's getting off Burnley fans. He has to constantly repeat himself and answer dumb questions
O'Connor has said multiple times, fee agreed, Burnley met with agent in Manchester and Norwich want to find a replacement first. Yet he still gets asked the same questions over and over again hahahaha

£35,001 is still between £35k and £45k
If he wants to play in the PL for more than one season he'll take it. If he's more concerned with cash maybe he isn't for us.
