Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
According to SSN Everton are still trying to put together a package that is acceptable to Burnley for this to happen today. Though admit it would take a hell of an offer.

I suspect SSN are simply looking for stories now bearing in mind nothing much is happening in the Prem.

Fraser Dainton on SSN says it would need to be an "absolutely astronomical bid"

Their only option would be buying him now but deferring the move until summer. Otherwise he'll move to a bigger club in the summer.

Not much time to thrash out personal terms either, Keane should ask what they are offering and then ask them to 'double it' - and they probably will if they are coming in at this late stage.

There is absolutely no chance we'd shoot ourselves in the foot late in the window, we have learnt lessons (I want to believe that anyway).
Surely we would say ''when we find a replacement he can leave'' then leave them hanging and never show any intention to look for a replacement, it's about time we started playing these clubs.

25/30m and remain here on loan is the ONLY offer worth even responding to.

I'm surprised Leicester haven't resurrected their intetest in a bid to unsettle him prior to a big game in their relegation scrap.

Why cut your nose to spite your face. IF Burnley feel they need to do business they have Tarks already at the club. To string Everton along would be potentially be harmful to us long term as Everton ship out players for big money incomings in the summer.KRBFC wrote:There is absolutely no chance we'd shoot ourselves in the foot late in the window, we have learnt lessons (I want to believe that anyway).

I suppose we will know about 7pm when the team is announced if he's not playing he's off ..can't see it happening though,Keane is better than Everton,a top four side beckons I think.

Never really works though. A players performance will be affected in that situation.Their only option would be buying him now but deferring the move until summer
Re: Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
I very much doubt we will entertain the idea of letting Keane go
unless it's a 'play on at Burnley until the end of the season' deal.
Even then I'd expect us to hold out for at least 25m and Everton may agree that
given they know that there may well be a few other clubs interested.
The only concern if such a deal is on, would be whether Keane would be able to perform
at the same level until the end of the season and not be looking over his shoulder.

Liverpool value sakho at 20 million. Keanes value based on that is over 30!
Re: Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
The more I think about this the more I think this is just Sky making stuff up. 'Not given up'? Unless it's been kept very quiet they haven't even started! The wording implies they've had a few goes and a ready to launch a last attempt.

Turn around to them and say if you valued Stones at £49m he's yours for £49.5m!

Re: Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
Keane won't be going until the summer, and when he does we will easily be able to get £25-30m for him, thanks to the Chinese totally obliterating the concept of pricing.
Ighalo who has scored about 4 goals in the last 12 months is being sold for £20m as we speak.

It's been said a thousand times before but a player cannot be signed then loaned back to the original club in the Premier League, league rules.
100% won't happen unless £30m+ comes in.

£30 million to start a bidding war, nothing less.
Re: Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
Not For Sale.
Summer is when he'll be sold. If there is anything in this from Everton's side, there won't be from Burnley's.

Why sell at any price ? Keane is better than Stones. The more he plays the more his value increases

If Keane was playing in that City defence with that clown of a keeper firing the ball at him when he his surrounded by opposing players then I guess he might not look too assured !

He won't be going anywhere till the summer.
Re: Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
I believe we're willing to sell him to Everton if we can loan him back for the rest of the season.
Also heard that we are interested in taking Aaron Lennon on loan.

Re: Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
Hope all this talk does not unsettle him ahead of tonight's match.
Re: Everton Not Given Up on Getting Keane Today
Unsettling him was Koeman's intention when he told the press. Seemed fine with the Leicester bids earlier so this shouldn't affect him. Keane has also said he is happy where he is at the minute.

2 defensive errors according to those stats. Stones must be on 1 a game.
