Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
So Westwood on at half time to help shore up midfield?
Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
Another disappointing away performance not helped by the red card. I don't know why Arfield is playing central midfield when Westwood is on the bench same with Barnes wide with Brady on the bench, Oh well, there's always next time...

Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
It's only 1 game, positives are Bournemouth and Palace are shipping goals for fun. Even a win for Sunderland leave both them and Palace 10 points behind us, if Hull win they'll still be 9 behind.

Never understood anyone who thought we were safe. I said a week or two ago, I'd snap your hand off for 17th. We're entering silly season, there'll be all sorts of weird results here on in.
We're more than good enough to get the 11 points or so we need though.

IMO. Westwood and Brady on for Arfield and Gray.
Barnes up front alone cos he holds the ball up better than Andre but he will need runners supporting him.

Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
Hopefully this gives everyone the wake up call that was needed. We are not safe until we can't be caught.
Chelsea will obviously be mighty difficult to get anything from and considering Hull's upturn in form and our away record, anything from that game will be a big ask.
Not meaning to sound negative here, more in hope that we don't get ahead of ourselves! Let's treat every game as a must win. There has been too much cockiness on here for my liking.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines
Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
Massively disappointing today so far. Red card is inexcusable, but I also think the set up was slightly questionable. We can't keep writing off away games. Having said that, absolutely no need to panic at this stage!

Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
Everything that frustrates me with Burnley is on show today.
We don't hold the ball up, we can't cross a road at the moment and not picking passes. Just hitting spaces.
I know it's not helping having a man down but people are not doing their jobs against their man they would have to do at 11 Vs 11.

what I find weird is we manage to stop crosses when we play at home, away we don't seem to get within 10 yards of the lad putting the cross in, both goals where awful from our point of view

I am more disappointed with the defending on both goals (not from set pieces) over the sending off as Hendrick did not mean to get sent off

The 'how **** must you be, we're winning away' chant needs a bloody good airing if we ever manage to score first in an away game.

Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
"Much worse" - Didn't say they couldn't be any worse.
Not sure how Sunderland winning is much better than palace winning, stoke are totally irrelevant but I'll give you Bournemouth.
Plus I drank far too much red wine last night so everythings just a bit worse. Leave me alone

Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
It's clear at home that under Dyche's instructions our fullbacks are narrow inviting crosses. Unsurprisingly that's going to be more profound with 10 men.Vegas Claret wrote:what I find weird is we manage to stop crosses when we play at home, away we don't seem to get within 10 yards of the lad putting the cross in, both goals where awful from our point of view

Oh FFS now Gray has an "issue" (Apparently from the commenters on the stream)

I don't understand why Dyche didn't make changes in this case. What in earth did he see from that first half that suggested the same team should continue?

Taio, what on earth is difficult to grasp or contradictory about saying I don't think we're safe, and we're good enough to stay up? Neither are definitive statements.
Are you simple?

Find this kind of post really odd. "More in hope that we don't get ahead of ourselves!" Who, the fans or Sd and the team?DCWat wrote:Hopefully this gives everyone the wake up call that was needed. We are not safe until we can't be caught.

Do you honestly believe that the fans who believe SD and the team are good enough to stay up will have a negative effect on results/success?

Tell you what, Grosicki looks lost in the Hull Liverpool game. Don't see how he would have fit our team as he looks vulnerable defensively.
Re: Whoford? versus Mighty Clarets
Gray fails to control 10 yard ball through when through on goal, sums up our day right there.
