Fans terrific today . Half time was a nightmare below the stands a real crush and abysmal facilities for a premier league club.

Re: Burnley fans today
Everyone stood up as far as I could see despite the stewards trying to get them to sit.
Support very good in the circumstances
Noisy and positive if rather angry cos in real time many thought we'd been cheated

the commentators even mentioned it on TV, said we were loud and proud. I sometimes wonder if people post shite cause they've got nothing else to complain about

Either the man with the video evidence or the people who are saying it was great but were sitting down and complaining of standing

Yes I did go to Fulham last season and that's actually one of the games I'm referring to. Large portions of the crowd clearly not from Burnley. You're mad if you think the away end was anything other than **** that day, until we went 3-2 up. My brother got told to shut up by another fan stood near us at half time, for signing too much.fidelcastro wrote:I take it you didn't go to Fulham last season then?

Sorry if you feel the the need to mock my opinion. From a personal stand point, one of the quietest Burnley away ends I've ever experienced. Same at Arsenal and West Ham this season.Bin Ont Turf wrote:Is your brother deaf as well?

Re: Burnley fans today
I'm home and have lost my voice. I thought the support was very good, very close to filling our section. Seemed in general more families and older fans, a little like Southampton away.
We never heard Watford all day and it was a full house and they were winning. Also thought team responded to very supportive away following. The dreadful lack of beer through inept organisation/facilities wouldn't have helped either.
For anyone that wasn't there to slag off those that did is plain rude.
Despite the result very proud claret here.

Perhaps if they'd tried singing something decent, it might have taken off!
The crowd sounded much better later on though, as others have mentioned.

I was in row X (next to the back row) and was standing all the game as were the fans all around me and all the way down to the entrance/exit level.
The support today was terrific particularly after going 2 down.

I don't know what the OP is going on about? I was at the match and it was great support today, especially in second half when the game looked over.
That picture is misleading as well. One small section of fans, front left, were sat down. Most of the supporters stood up (not that you have to stand to be a great supporter )

Support was excellent apart from a fair sized group of throbbers abusing the lad who Hendrick took out
Re: Burnley fans today
Ok, so it was loud at the back where we were all standing up for 90 minutes, and not so loud at the front then.
The Watford fans did some sort of clapping thing about 20 mins before the end and made a bit of a cheer when they scored. It almost sounded like a proper cheer - not like that "Oh well done jolly good show, another goal for our team now which ones are they" noise that you get when Chelsea score - before they then boo at half time unless they are winning by 3.

Sounded good to me on TV but it doesn't suit the narrative of the uber fan with the poor taste in graphic design. The reclaiming of the CFS is great news for us all and doesn't need self important cock measurers to tell the rest of us how $hit we are.

You do tend to only sing when your winning. Noticed that in derby games..
I think you need to be more proactive rather than reactive..

I don't know but since Cricketfield has come back from his self imposed exile where he said he'd finished with this board, he does seem a little bit arsey.

Re: Burnley fans today
I was there and our support was good in the 2nd half especially, we really got behnd the team, Never really heard the Watford fans, only some stupid hornet mascot banging a drum trying to get their fans going but failed.
More worryingly was seeing two seperate incidents of Burnley fans (under the influence no doubt) having a go at each other. First was some lad punching lamp posts outside the ground then the next time I see him he was trying to start a fight with someone in the concourse.(pre-game) the next incident appeared to be a guy who looked to be in his 40's 50's trying to punch someone (appeared very drunk) his mates were tring to stop him.
No need for this behaviour if you can't hold your drink give it up before you get arrested and banned from football.

With all the chatter regards new songs to be sung by the claret faithfull at turf moor .... i think the op as a point...if you cant sing a rendition of 'we are the longside' which is pretty straigforward, well be buggered learning new ones.nothing wrong with trying to get the atmospere going imo.but your flogging a dead horse ...burnley fans cant sing for toffee.
