without wanting to sound disrespectful you could see in 20 minutes he is a huge improvement on what we have, composed on the ball, put in an immense corner etc

Excellent when he came on. Seen enough already to know he'll be a great addition. Looks fast, great touch and some nice crosses.

His energy, touch, delivery and vision were as good as ive seen. Like a quick Robbie Blake. Just what we need.

Arfield was kept on on for his work ethic, but once we were behind we needed a bit more, arfield still has a role to play . As a squad player

There would be with one less player on the pitch.

When you play 10 v 11 your space is more limited as it's much easier for the opposition to get 2 v 1

So don't understand how he was lucky?

His corners reminded me of the ones Taylor was whipping in for us last season.

Our wide options look much better than our central ones for at least the next three games. Arfield definitely has a role to play, after Barton and Westwood assume he's next in line to play CM.

You want to look at the useless F....... On the other side of the pitch! No wonder he hasn't been offered another contract! At least Scotty can take a man on, show a bit of skill and beat the defender!
He is more than just a runner!!!!!! "Get rid of Boyd!!!!!!"

I actually thought his crossing was poor, 75% hit the first man, and he got dispossesed which left us wide open, a good thing Watford didn't have enough energy to make the most of it.

He's got much to learn, about framework.

Where was Scottys dribbling ability and skill Yesterday? I didn't see it.
Boyd offers much more than Arfield at PL level.

For the next three games we should have Westwood and Barton for cm and Brady left with Boyd and Guddmundsson available for the right wing . Airfield could cover in cm as could Tarks . When Hendricks and Defour are back we should cope without Joey ( if we have to ) . We are In a much stronger position than we were at the beginning of the season . This is a squad that will get better and better over the next three months.

Not for me. Arfield offers far more. There's a reason Arfield has made more key passes than any other Burnley player in the Premier League this season. I didn't look for Boyd in the list but he's not going to be anywhere near. Boyd has plenty of running in him but there's a reason Dyche gave him a new deal and hasn't given Boyd one. He was really, really poor yesterday. Energy and application only goes so far, imo.

Would expect him to start next week after a full week of training. Will be interesting to see whether Westwood or Arfield joins Barton in there, although you can probably create an argument for sticking Brady in there to give us something of Hendrick's dynamism.

Boyd will start v Chelsea.

Boyds critical. What he offers off the ball as much as on it. Very important player.

Hopefully Brady and Westwood will both start next week. Arfield dropping to the bench.

Chances are we will have at least one left footed winger on the left from now on. Suspect it will be Brady left and Boyd right with JBG and Arfield waiting to come on.

That said against Chelsea think we may go 451 with Arfield off Barnes.

So we now have 3 left footed wingers in JBG, Boyd & Brady and a single right footer in Arfield.

For me, I prefer players in natural position and not cutting in but out of those 4 we start with JBG & Brady

I thought SD would start with Scotty, and I can understand why, but I can't see any reason won't be starting with Brady from now.
Injuries and suspensions are going to force the issue anyway. I just hope he isn't tempted to move Scotty inside, we need Westwood to start as well. Hopefully Defour will be back soon, but I wouldn't risk him against Chelsea unless he was 110% ready.
