You can't rate Hendrick. He was only on five minutes.

Heaton 8 - awesome save 2nd half
Lowton 7 - mostly good but part of a defence that let in two sloppy goals
Keane 7 - looked solid but see above. Especially the killer 2nd
Mee 7 - decent enough
Ward 8 - some excellent link up play
Boyd 8 - worked his socks off
Aefield 7 - ditto but a bit wayward
Barton 9 - superb
Gray 6 - not a lot of service but has to be stronger
Barnes 7 - worked like a trrojan but has to do better in those chances
Brady 7 - some great touches.

A valiant performance but we have to convert chances. In hindsight Gray and Arfield for Brady and Westqood at half time would have been better

His impact on the game was felt for the full 90. He should get a 3 to ensure the full season ratings reflect this performance. Good to hear that he apologised to each Burnley player at HT and he will learn from this.

Afraid to say that we are well and truly in a relegation scrap still. Decent performance that was let down by a silly red card

Gray 6 marmite player. Didn't look up for it, mis control time after time, rightly hooked.
Barnes 7 had more time at the end and lots of net to aim at.

Brady 7
Westwood 7

Dyche 5 I love the man. Please be proactive not reactive. Waited too long to try and save the game. Square pegs in round holes, and we didn't have a clue who was where for 40 minutes.
Least we should see the best players available, play next week, he stayed loyal to some, they let him down.

So frustrating, Watford were beatable. 3 key, avoidable errors undid a ot of good work. No points awarded for effort though.

Heaton 7 One great save, a couple of regulation saves, no chance with the goals.
Lowton 7 Did well given how exposed our flanks were after the red card
Ward 7 As above - generally solid & willing to get forward as opportunities presented themselves
Mee 7 Stood up to Watford's physical challenge well.
Keane 7 Generallly looked after Deeney, he'll be disappointed with the first goal though
Hendrick 4 Cost us a real chance of winning
Barton 8 Bite, tenacity and leadership. Just what was needed.
Boyd 6 Workmanship like as ever, lacked quality on the ball
Arfield 6 An Arfieldish performance. Shouldn't be allowed near dead balls
Barnes 7 Battled away with little support for the most part. Could have rescued a point with more composure.
Gray 5 Looked lost for the most part.
Brady 7 Made a big difference. Added pace and genuine attacking threat from the wing

Barnes 7 does the dark arts well and a nuisance

Brady 8 turned the game in our favour
Westwood 5 didn't do anything

Fans 12 our dial goes up to 12. All you could hear was clarets today.

Heaton - 7 - very solid and a couple of good saves (in fact one very good one)
Lowton - 6 - he and Keane let Deeney get between them for the first goal and his distribution going forward was disappointing
Mee 8 - very solid
Keane 6 - great for 88 minutes but see Lowton above for the first goal and on the second goal he didn't even jump
Ward 7 - good, especially going forward
Boyd 8 - his defensive covering today was critical
Barton 9* - outstanding today (again)
Hendrick - 3- there are many reasons to love the SD era but our disciplinary record is one of them. I believe this is our first straight red (Duff's wasn't upheld.) There is a reason SD focuses on this issue, Hendrick likely cost us a point today and maybe more in the matches going forward. Unacceptable.
Arfield - 7 - solid
Barnes - 7 made a nuisance of himself, wish he would smile occasionally
Gray 6 - poor today but got little service

Brady - 8 - thought he looked great - urgent, insight, pace

Watford were poor, really poor.

Thats harsh, the player moved away from goal and scored from an impossible angle with a fantastic header, Lowton left Deeney for the first though.

Agreed. Was caught in possession late in the second half also, leading to deeneys offside goal. His worst game in a while. Anyone giving him more than a 6 wasn't watching

Mee 6 not his best game
Ward 7 decent link play but always vulnerable to tricky players
Boyd 7 -As ever grafted hard
Arfield 6- can never knock Scottys effort but Brady's a good upgrade
Barton 9 - MOM never stopped kept us in it and encouraged and drove the side ,we'll really miss him.
Gray 6 - lone man after Hendrick sent off starved of service
Barnes 7 - worked bloody hard and punches well above his weight
Brady 7 - Lively great touches looks the real deal

A real fighting performance and we had them rocking .(They looked a disjointed mess) Huge ask with 10 men whole game but shows how far we've come that we made a fist of it, suprised Gudmunson wasn't used but always a tricky balance

Lots of effort but very little quality today. Sloppy goals conceded and sloppy in attacking areas when we could have threatened their goal little more.

Nah, I never drink at football.

Holebas was given the time and space to get balls in the box all afternoon as Boyd was continually a yard behind play.

I cannot think of a single positive he offered in an attacking sense.

He was genuinely absolutely useless.

Brady and JBG/Arfield for me. Boyd's time is coming to an end.

I said to the guy next to me at half time that I hope we bring on Brady for all of the second half and I wish we had have done as he made a difference when he did come on.

Heaton 7 Couldn't do anything more than he did.
Lowton 8 Got better as the game went on
Keane 7 He lost both players for both goals but was brilliant in the second half.
Mee 7 Typical Ben Mee performance
Ward 8 Good high energy performance
Boyd 6 Yes he closes down well but the times when he has the ball he rarely produces anything of worth.
Barton 8 Another good shift from Joey gets him my MOM
Arfield 6 Good effort but ultimately we need more creativity
Barnes 7 Non stop running, should have scored at the end
Gray 6 Lack of service again means we don't get the best out of him

Brady 7 Looks like we may have found the creative player
we really need.

Another plucky display but ultimately another blank.
I would like to think that 11 v 11 we wouldn't have been beaten but we will never know.

Gray can't do the one up front role as he proved earlier in the season and this role was forced on him first half with Barnes in midfield helping to cover the hole left by Hendrick. Second half, gray started wide with Barnes up top and we looked better. Brady then replaced gray and we 'lost' a defender to match them for numbers and we pummelled them. Good tactical stuff from Dyche 2nd half.

Result apart, proud Claret today, amazing effort from the lads.

Troy Deeney applauded all the fans in all the stands, top attitude.

I wish our players would come closer to the away end when applauding the fans.Some barely get into our half, they should get as far as the 18 yard line,Trippier always did.

Tremendous effort from 10 men but beaten by a poor side again.Crazy by Hendrick. Chelsea home then 4 away....scary

Airfields dead balls was excellent on Tuesdat but didn't come off today! A tad harsh!!

I wasn't there.

We played for 88/89 minutes 10 v 11, lost 2-1 and might even have scored a leveller at the end. Would appreciate hearing more about how, given those circumstances, Boyd can be scored a 3 and Gray, who played some of the game out of position, a 4.

Sounded like everyone put in a huge shift, although perhaps not?

- lost deeney / mixed up w lowton for their first goal
- lost niang for their second goal
- lost deeney leading to an amazing point blank save from heaton
- caught in possession leading to deeney's disallowed goal

I think a 5 is more appropriate - was one of his worst games for us!
