Lincoln tickets
I logged on to check something and they were available, so I've just bought mine online in the Bob Lord, has someone pressed the go button too early?

They are available in the Longside upper online. I presume they have released all non ST holders seats.

I think they've just got them ready for tomorrow and it doesn't affect anyone else.

Re: Lincoln tickets
Got mine an hour ago in JMU. Also lots available in JHU that I could have bought. Looks like they have realised seats up there. No other areas available apart from my season ticket seats. So looks like they want to fill the JHU first.
Re: Lincoln tickets
I hear Lincoln are asking 7000 tickets but are only getting 3500 ish

Re: Lincoln tickets
I've just purchased two Juveniles together in JHU 3 because I want to be sure to sit with my daughter. I will buy an adult ticket where I normally sit too the second it comes on open sale, and if the ST holders next to me hasn't bought his seat I'll get another Juvenile ticket for my daughter so we can sit there, the others I can give to my friends.

Re: Lincoln tickets
I am totally and utterly confused!
We have 2 ST's in the CFS.
This thread needs merging with the Lincoln ticket allocation thread.
I have posted several times on there. The club have made it clear that we will not be able to
purchase our CFS seats online.
When I log in now, I could if I wanted to, purchase my daughter's ST seat in the CFS! but not mine!
I could also if I wanted to, purchase 2 seats in JHU, but I need 3.
WTF is going on????????????

If you go into the Burnley official site, then online tickets, the normal buying process seems to be operating for clarets number fans.
Re: Lincoln tickets
Just log in and then check your basket rather than looking at the seat plan.

Re: Lincoln tickets
Presuming if we draw all these Lincoln fans will be ok with getting around 3000 tickets at Sincil Bank?
Re: Lincoln tickets
In the unlikely event of you needing a replay against the Lincoln Cry Babies you will get the whole Stacey West stand which holds about 1800 and is about 20% of capacity. Neither Ipswich or Brighton could fill it leaving 600 and 400 (respectively) empty seats in the ground.

Brighton 400? I'm guessing that's the proper fans that used to go to the Withdean then

I am pretty sure that we will fill 1800 - any chance of another 5200 tickets if necessary?Hillimp wrote:In the unlikely event of you needing a replay against the Lincoln Cry Babies you will get the whole Stacey West stand which holds about 1800 and is about 20% of capacity. Think he meant sold all but 600 & 400 respectively.Belial wrote:Brighton 400? I'm guessing that's the proper fans that used to go to the Withdean then
Meaning the took around 1,200 ( Ipswich ) & 1,400 ( Brighton )
Think we would sell it quite easily even if on TV, purely for the tick factor for the younger generation of fans.

Re: Lincoln tickets
Based on their chief executives demands, I'd be asking us to have twice as many as we have Season ticket holders (about 34,000 tickets then) or I'd whinge about it on twitter.

Re: Lincoln tickets
I hope we have around 1k unsold tickets at kick off just to make them cry a bit more.
I was surprised to see at weekend Lincoln played away in the cup and the total crowd managed to just creep over 700, maybe the whinging plastics failed to see they had a game.

Re: Lincoln tickets
I went online to buy mine and my 2 sons for the JMU and they were in the basket but both my sons were down as adults and there was no way of changing this.
I therefore rang the ticket office to explain this and was told to ring again and choose option 2.
I did this holding on for 15 minutes before putting the phone down as I'd jumped from number 5 to number 3 in the queue whilst listening to a repetitive plug for the Holiday Inn Express.
I then rang again at lunch time and hung up after 25 minutes of the same.
I rang back chose option 1 and bought the tickets at the correct value whilst incurring a £1.60 booking fee!

That phone call will have cost you a fortune Willy to hear about the virtues of the Holiday Inn.
I hope you weren't using somebody else's phone.

Re: Lincoln tickets
Willy send an email to the ticket office ticketoffice@burnleyfc.com and explain that you have followed their procedure as instructed and ended up being put to expense of which you require reimbursement. I'm sure they will be very helpful and sort it for you.

I cannot work out if you are being ultra sarcastic or if it's just me that is regularly treated like s**t by them.
My email to them today about my earlier post has been answered. I asked two questions;
1/. Why, when I log in, is my daughter's ST seat in the CFS in my basket, I thought CFS tickets were
not being sold online?
2/. Why is hers there and not mine?
They have answered 2/.
2/. Mine has been sold (a solitary seat at the end of a row near a gangway).
1/. They have failed to answer question 1/. completely!

Re: Lincoln tickets
Got my two tickets in CFS on sat 10 minutes in and both of my ST seats had gone. No biggie got two others a couple of rows back. But did think that the policy of pick a seat, any seat would cause issues as it fills up and families can't necessarily sit together. This could be a problem as at some games this season stewards have not allowed unaccompanied children to walk about without an adult. A rule some stewards police and some not, a bit like taking the tops of drink bottles.

So what's stopping the remaining 10000 Lincoln fans getting tickets in our end? Can they sign up for a Clarets number and get tickets?

I would rather the seats were taken than left empty.

Re: Lincoln tickets
Some on here will claim that you require a Clarets Number to be able to purchase a ticket, but I was able to purchase a couple of tickets for friends who don't have a Clarets Number for the game against Bristol City, and wasn't asked to provide any details.box_of_frogs wrote:So what's stopping the remaining 10000 Lincoln fans getting tickets in our end? So, if the demand is there, there may well be Lincoln fans in the home stands.

Yes, to some extent I agree with you provided they are genuine fans just there to watch their team and not idiots looking to antagonise the home fans should the chance arise.Quickenthetempo wrote:Yes and plenty of away fans have done so far this year.

In that scenario it would increase revenue and as they will be keeping quiet it will appear as though more people have turned up to support us

Tickets went on sale today at 10am in Lincoln and just aabout an hr ago they reported around 200 have been snapped up............not the 7000 rushing for tickets like they wanted then
They also said on the lincolnshirelive website hundreds-queue-for-lincoln-city-v-burnley-fa-cup-tickets and then posted this pic to go with the story........doesn't look like hundreds to me, looks more like 10 lol

Re: Lincoln tickets
I also hope that each of them hand over £20, seeing as £10 isn't enough.
That way Lincoln will get an extra £33000 straight into their coffers.
I wonder how many will do that?

Re: Lincoln tickets
I think the police will stop any away fans entering our areas of the ground.
Re: Lincoln tickets
Based on the overwhelming demand demonstrated by that queue, they must all be buying tickets in home stands.

Even if they do sell them all, a few renditions of
"Couldn't sell all your tickets" and "Is that all you take away" should cheer them up..

Re: Lincoln tickets
Having watched this forum for a week or so it may be appropriate to look at a definition of arrogance:
Arrogance definition, offensive display of superiority or self-importance; overbearing pride.
The Clarets fans who have posted on the Lincoln forum (90 posts from 4 posters alone) have certainly tried to explain the 15% rule even though we knew it already and have explained all the reasons we should not expect any more tickets. We are disappointed but resigned to that and have accepted being lectured on our own forum quite stoically.
As for the above posts, the tickets have been rationed to one per season ticket holder and can be bought on the phone. There are then ticket book sales and the general public can not get any until next Thursday and only if there are any left at that point. When 5000 tickets were available for Ipswich the queue stretched around the ground and some queued for 7-8 hours. I would contend that we are not a Horrible little club with horrible fans (Claret Tony) and in evidence we have gone through 5 rounds of the FA cup against teams from 4 leagues of English football without a single reported issue of crowd trouble. There are very few Lincoln fans who have been to Turf Moor and we are looking forward to visiting a new ground and town. Arrogance?? not from us.
