Summer holidays
On a cold and wet February has got me thinking about warmer places I could be.
What summer holiday plans has everyone got.

The Portugese Camino de Santiago, in May. Only from the Portugese border but if Mrs Minnie enjoys it might try a longer stretch of the French route in future.

I posted this topic to see if it got deleted.
I tried to post a thread earlier this morning about the delay in the change of the ticket office number from the current premium rate to at least a normal rate number.
I tried to post it twice and although it appeared for a couple of minutes it then disappeared !!
Obviously a controversial subject !!

Re: Summer holidays
See previous thread now locked. Particularly, CT's last post in it stating that it's not as simple as you seemed to think it was! No need to start any more.

Re: Summer holidays
But why lock it ?
Nothing abusive in that thread.
Just asked a civil question about why it was taking so long.
The only reason I can think of is that ticket zone will not alter it till the contract expires.

Re: Summer holidays
I didn't lock it. I'm not a mod. Since you had contributed to the original thread why did you wish to start another. I think Tony answered your civil question yesterday in the final post in the other thread by basically saying that no-one here knows the answer. Why don't you ask the ticket office? I don't personally think it's anything to do with Ticketzone since the club has similar premium numbers for other areas, not just for tickets. So why not ask them? Try 01282 700000 for the main club reception office!

Off to Antigua in 3 weeks to watch the 2 WI v England one day internationals so hopefully the TV cameras will pick up at least one Burnley flag/shirt in the crowd!
Re: Summer holidays
We are off to our place in Florida.
As regards the ticket office issue I am being too cynical to suggest with prehaps some potential lucrative cup ganes coming up too much of an opportunity to give up the premium rate number just yet.

Re: Summer holidays
Toftl, try 01282 700010. Direct line to ticket office found on Saynoto0870 web site some time ago. Not tried it for a while but assuming 700000 is still the main number it should still work.

Re: Summer holidays
I think both numbers are still valid. The 7000010 number was always the ticket office number before the onset of the premium rate non-geographical number(s) There was an 0870 number before the current 0871 one.NewForestClaret wrote:Toftl, try 01282 700010. Lanzarote in May for 11 nights, adults only hotel as usual so no sproggies running around spoiling the peace and quiet. Might get the tent out in the summer and I have the caravan to dismantle and repair. Center Parcs in December, an annual ritual.

Going back to our 2nd home in Hurghada, Egypt. Booking it on Thursday.
On the 0871 as regards my Season Ticket. Hung up today after being number 1 in the queue for 25 minutes. Will call in next time in Burnley. Was hoping not to have to make a special journey on a day other than a match day.
